March 30, 200916 yr Author LOL, poor Phil. I wonder how high he'd be if he grew a pair of breasts. Dumping Ben on a roadside would probably put him in the top 10 though. Some would say he is already there with the breasts. Dumping Camp Demon Child at a roadside = immediate 1st place and a BAFTA. He effectively DID do that when Suzy was there though. And every time he takes one of his random, numerous holidays. Did he? I have vague memories of him buying Suzy birthday presents that were really for Ben?
March 31, 200916 yr Philth Mitchell. No shocker to see him so low. Grant  needs to be higher. name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>" data-tag="youtube" data-tagfull="<object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>"><object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value=" name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src=" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object> :heehee:
April 1, 200916 yr Author http://wizzardzworld.files.wordpress.com/2009/02/shrek1.jpg 32. Minty Peterson (4.88) Bless Minty. He's the Square's ultimate nice guy (we're going to forget his days as Laura Beale's evil landlord, as the EE scriptwriters clearly have). You could chuck a nuclear holocaust at him, and he'd be a bit down for a minute or two, but half an hour later be all smiles and jokes again. And in this sense I think Minty is perhaps THE under-rated character in EE; in a show like this you need a Minty to help balance out the perpetual misery, even if he is a bit of a buffoon with rubbish plots. He should also be given credit in that had it not been for him, Ricky Groves would almost certainly have been without employment years ago. In the early days, Minty and Garry really did make a great double act and saved each other's characters. They bounced each other quite well and their friendship was rather touching (particularly Minty saving Garry from suicide). Recently the pairing may have become a tad stale, but those who read the spoilers will already know that the EE producers have solved the issue. It'll be interesting to see how Minty develops after Garry's departure. I like the look of this "Manda" woman. Unfortunately, as with many, Minty happens to be a male, and so he is immediately condemned to a mediocre position in the Buzzjack rate.
April 1, 200916 yr Aww Minty is one of those characters I go through stages of being completely bored off or really liking but despite what some say I'd hate to see him go. I LOVE Manda. And like you said Shoat with that future spoiler I think its an excellent opportunity for some character development. Love how EE writers have totally tried to pretend the old Minty never existed :D

Love how EE writers have totally tried to pretend the old Minty never existed :D I'm with you on the first point. Despite my previous post being a bit of a Minty lovefest, I do get bored of him quite often. But I think that's more to do with the scriptwriters giving him a load of drivel to work with. He's essentially a decent character who could add a lot to the show given the chance. EE have a habit of forgetting character's past mis-deeds and re-writing them as angels sent from above (see also Billy and Pat - can that Archie Mitchell reinvention be far off?) April 1, 200916 yr Definitely. A proper storyline that doesnt involve Heather or Garry would be good now- and Manda seems like a great character who could carry her own storylines too. Oh yes the classic Billy reinvention. Although I did like Billy mentioning a couple of weeks back how he used to beat Jamie. Nice to see it not forgotten. Well I've heard Archie wont be going anywhere so I can only imagine he will be a reformed lovable character within a few months lol!
April 1, 200916 yr Minty's unexplained reinvention is possibly the ultimate. He was a growling bulldog when he owned that flat, a proper nasty sh!t. What happened?! They'd have been better off giving the Minty we know and love (?) now a new name, in the name of plausability. Anyway he's lovely isn't he? Manda could go either way, properly fabulous in an old-school way or totally repugnant. We shall see.
April 1, 200916 yr Author Well I've heard Archie wont be going anywhere so I can only imagine he will be a reformed lovable character within a few months lol! He'll be opening orphanages and saving old dears from their murderous seven year old grandaughters in no time. Minty's unexplained reinvention is possibly the ultimate. That's the thing aswell. At least with Billy and Pat you were kind of allowed to see how and why they mellowed and changed for the better. Minty...nothing. He went to bed as a nasty thug and woke up as a cuddly teddy bear. Bizarre.
April 3, 200916 yr Author Top 30 time, and it's another tie... http://img4.imageshack.us/img4/9764/singingpostman.jpg 30. Masood Ahmed (4.94) I like the Masoods. I like that they've been eased into the show gradually without the need for major dramas and misery as with other characters who were introduced at the same time. It means that when the angst is eventually piled onto them, we will care more because we will have had the chance to grow fond of them first (I sometimes wonder if part of my intense hatred for Jack Branning is that he was just thrown in and given scandal and scandal and we were supposed to care just like that...erm NO). Anyways, Masood Ahmed by himself is probably not the most dynamic or interesting character. But he's thoroughly likable and works brilliantly with Zainab. I'm wondering though if the writers are trying to imply that there may be a Masood/Jane thing going on at some point in the future. I'm not sure I like this idea or not. I like Zainab and Masood together, and I like Ian and Jane together. On the other hand, anything that means more airtime for them all is a good thing. http://www.costumes4schools.co.uk/Posh%20tudor%20boy.jpg 30. Jay Brown (4.94) And I like Jay aswell :( This is going to be a problem as we get higher up the countdown; I'm going to find it more difficult to be hateful and spout bile which is the main reason I did the rate. Well actually I don't like Jay as such, but I think Jamie Borthwick is terrific; by far the best child actor the show has had for a long, long time. I remember scenes between Jay and Ben making me giggle because there was such a HUGE obvious gulf in ability there for all to see. And I'm still looking forward to the point in time when he finally finds out Billy's real role in his dad's death (for surely that must be coming up sometime?) I have missed the last couple of weeks though (bar the big Danielle reveal episodes)...is Jay still smooching around the mank prostitute? I should also add that both characters deserve to be much higher, but again, they have penises which is their big downfall. Edited April 4, 200916 yr by Shoat
April 4, 200916 yr ^Hmm she hasnt been seen for weeks and now Gillys is gone I wonder what happened her. Very strange to drop it so suddenly. I love Masood. Wish he was higher! Mrs Masood I hope is top 10, at least top 15! Unless shes been done already and I missed her
April 4, 200916 yr Prozzyfug left 'to find herself' etc. Jay is horrific. I don't care how good he is as an actor, he is just unbearingly ugly. Billy is fortunate to share the majority of scenes with somebody who actually manages to make him look prettier..!
April 4, 200916 yr Author Jark, that is horrendously shallow. If everyone took that view, the Eastenders cast would consist of Dawn, Ronnie and...erm...that's it.
April 4, 200916 yr Ah, i quite like Minty, Mas and Jay. Especially Masood, though hopefully Zainab will be very high up.
