December 20, 200816 yr It's been merged into indie Harve. Just like Music Events has been removed and merged with The Lounge. Ah thanks ^_^ . It was a busy forum sort of, but i guess its difficult to tell the difference between Indie, Specialist and Pop.
December 20, 200816 yr This is all just getting silly. I'm all for debate, but why does every thread/forum have to have a debate in it? As far as I'm aware, this is primarily a music forum, not a debate forum. Surely there can be a debate thread arranged for those of you who seem to want to do it every second of the day... Each individuals tastes differ vastly and everyone has different views on music. I like manufactured pop and I love The Saturdays... The girls and their music, which is why I voted for them to get their own forum. It's just rather silly and childish to throw a strop about them getting a forum. Fair enough if someone had just made the forum and you disagreed with it, but it received the highest number of votes in the poll. It was the most popular choice and earned it's place with the other AF's. Maybe if you stopped b!tching, and really got behind an artist you wanted a forum for, you'd succeed in getting them one. And if some people weren't such sore losers and immature, this 'prohibition' argument wouldn't have even gone ahead. Nobody ever said you had to like them and nobody has stopped you from going to the forum, but I just don't see why anyone would want to waste their time on a band they disliked so much. Apart from them being a genre of music you don't like, I've yet to see a valid reason as to why certain people dislike them. oh lord... i havnt got all night to address all the points in this post that are completely wrong.... just read the thread and all of these points have been fully addressed. i wish people would read the thread before posting repetitive points like the hundered raised in this. or maybe they are simply thick.... <_<

I don't think you're one to talk about repetitiveness considering the amount of times you repeat yourself. There's 2 threads full of your repetitive Saturdays hate, digs and jibes. I wish people would understand that just because they believe a point is right or wrong, doesn't make it right or wrong. I know that works both ways, but what the hell is the point in STILL going on about this when it won the vote and is up and running?! It makes me laugh that you're making it look like you 'don't have the time' when you clearly do to keep going on about this. Your incessant need to associate anything The Saturdays do with something derogatory is saddening.

Your incessant need to associate anything The Saturdays do with something derogatory is saddening. Actually, about it winning the vote...why exactly did The Saturdays only have to get 50 votes rather than the 65 normally expected of female acts less than 5 years old?
December 21, 200816 yr It only applied to solo female artists for some reason. I'm sorry, but the original intention and spirit of the maximum votes for recent female acts thing was to make it harder for the cliched pop acts to get forums - is Mark trying to tell us that Girls Aloud and Sugababes aren't amongst the most popular acts on this forum?
December 21, 200816 yr And also, can I ask why my post explaining all of the original changes has been 'removed'? http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?s...=46802&st=0 For a start I'm quite offended that someone felt the need to remove something I put quite a lot of time into without even asking me or giving a reason why, and secondly, whoever did it is partly responsible for this confusion re: how many votes The Saturdays were supposed to get - I quite clearly stated in that post that female acts were to need to get the maximum possible votes  Methinks there's been a cover-up of sorts as every single change made re: feature request rules has just been replaced with 'removed'. EDIT: Oh yes, and why was it placed in the Trash Can, of all places?
December 21, 200816 yr The voting requirements are as follows: Indie/Rock (40 yes votes) Female (under 5 years) (65 yes votes) Normal (50 yes votes) I do believe that The Saturdays require another 14 votes...
December 21, 200816 yr There's no confusion in relation to how many votes The Saturdays needed to get. Before the poll, there was a specified number of votes needed, which was 50, and it was reached.
December 21, 200816 yr There's no confusion in relation to how many votes The Saturdays needed to get. Before the poll, there was a specified number of votes needed, which was 50, and it was reached. My problem isn't with you - it's with Mark who didn't check :P Mark misinterpreted the rules, therefore The Saturdays still require 14 votes. I personally have no massive issue with The Saturdays having a forum - they at least fulfilled the key criterion for having an Artist Forum, being that their discussion was dominating their respective genre forum with at least one 50+ page thread. My problem is with the prevailing attitude of 'let's have a forum for so-and-so because it would be nice' on this forum, when it is supposed to be for artists where the conversation dominates the genre forum. We went some way to sorting this by making it so hard to get a forum with the reforms back in September last year, but they've been gradually whittled away with Mark allowing multiple votes as well as not even bothering to check how many votes certain acts required...of course people would want multiple votes! People who are going for forums will obviously want to make it easier for them to get forums! The whole point of the new system was to make it so that only massively popular acts i.e. such as Leona, that actually warranted a forum, would be able to get one... I do however, think it would only be fair if the poll was re-opened and that The Saturdays achieve the 65 votes that they require.

December 21, 200816 yr Ha! I don't think you're one to talk about repetitiveness considering the amount of times you repeat yourself. There's 2 threads full of your repetitive Saturdays hate, digs and jibes. like ive said.... the ONLY reason i HAVE to repeat myself is because idiots dont read through or understand whats been put in the thread, hence instituting a repeate response. ALL the issues you raised had ALREADY been fully addressed. hate?.... nowhere here have i expressed hate towards them, nor on this thread is there any digs/jibes....
December 21, 200816 yr Frankly, I find it astonishing that the likes of Saturdays have a Forum (achieved under rather dubious means, sorry, but if it's 65 votes for female artists then that should include all-female groups....) after only two singles which failed to reach Top 5 (pretty useless for a manufactured pop group surely..) and an album which has hardly sold very much in comparison to the likes of Metallica or Slipknot, and no, sorry, I dont think it's an unfavourable comparison in this context at all, The Sats have an AF and neither Metallica nor Slipknot do even though, in terms of album sales, musical output, album sales and longevity they clearly are more worthy of AFs than The Saturdays, as are bands such as Depeche Mode, The Cure, etc.... Put it this way - Metallica, over 3 million album sales of "Death Magenetic" in two months, and climbing, US Billboard No 1 for 3 consecutive weeks, UK No 1 for two weeks, No 1 or Top 10 in about a dozen or so other countries and territories.... THEY never started out their career by having 400 grand chucked at them and underachieving on all levels... They've been around for 25 years, done about a dozen albums, sold tens of MILLIONS of records as opposed to tens of thousands.... I would say, a sh!tload to talk about and discuss with Metallica.... Not to mention the fact that absolutley DOZENS and DOZENS of Metallers could be attracted to BJ if knowledge of a Metallica Forum got out, which would boost the post counts in Punk/Metal Forum as well.... Similarly Slipknot, though not as huge as Metallica, certainly are no slouches, four albums in, the most recent one being the most successful, Top 10 in over a dozen or so countries, No1 in US, No 2 in UK.. Also, a good chance for branching out the discussion to talk about singer Corey's other band, Stonesour and Joey's associations with Murderdolls and Wednesday 13.... So, again, a lot to discuss....
December 21, 200816 yr basically... we need a Metallica forum, end of. Totally dude... So, whaddya say, wanna give it a go and Co-Mod if we get it....?
December 21, 200816 yr Totally dude... So, whaddya say, wanna give it a go and Co-Mod if we get it....? I tried for one a while ago, on this pop orientated forum i very doubt it will ever happen :( but yeah if the saturdays can get a forum and metallica cant, says something doesnt it?
December 21, 200816 yr Same with AC/DC Currently on a world tour, new multi platinum album out, one of the biggest selling albums ever with Back In Black, been going for over 30 years with lots of material but no chance of getting a forum on here :manson: Instead we get request after request for utter trash
