Superwoman is highly underrated. Her live performances of the song are just mesmerising.

 

I thought Mary J's album was pretty good. It's my favourite of her newer albums. As for Alesha Dixon? I never felt the urge to get it. TBDN was a throwaway pop song. It's not a song to sell an album, which is why she didn't peak that high. Breathe Slow is better and if she continues to throw out tracks like this, it will show she isn't a novelty act. I'm not sold yet, though.

I actually thought this would fly off to #1 without a hitch after the success of American Boy, but it wasn’t too be. It would also seem that after American Boy, the commercial songs end at that, the rest being even less so than her debut (The 18th Day).

Lewis - I agree slightly on Alesha's album, i love it but the debut was better and perhaps a few people are going overboard on how good it is.

The lowest of all my #1 albums then is Solange, though it must be said it was released in a $h!t period for albums. Anyway this for me is a very fun, careless album which you can just of enjoy. I also really like Solange as a person, you just know she’s probably even biticher than Beyonce.

17. Jennifer Hudson – Jennifer Hudson

A great debut for Jen, but you cant but feel that you expected more from her, much more. On this album it seems that for every great track there is another average mediocre track to go with it. Anyway I have strong hopes that Jen is one of those artists who will improve with each album.

Kicking off the top 40 then is out first #1 and the first of two appearances from Jordin Sparks. I first heard this all the way back in Summer 2007 or something like that and back then I think I charted this at something like #13 in a very primitive and simple chart. Anyway this is a great simple song from Miss Sparks, though im not sure if given the chance again if I would put it as a #1.

Poor Brandy, came back with one of her best tracks to date but yet still manages to flop, badly. Anyway I adore this songs but I wish it could have stayed a tad longer in my top 10, it’s also a shame really that it wasn’t given a proper release in the UK.

Yes that’s right I was actually charting this all the way back in March, way before most of the rest of you got into it after the advert. Not a very popular album from the looks of it. Im actually rather surprised that this album hasn’t doine better since following Kissed A Girl I thought this would be a top 3 albuma t the least. Anyway other than the dreadful Kissed A Girl this is actually very good of an album and has some fantastic tunes.

I like everything you've added since I last posted apart from Katy's album and David's is just alright for me. I particularly like Estelle, Brandy, Solange and Jennifer Hudson. :wub: I agree that Sara Bareilles and Sharleen Spiteri being destined to be one hit wonders. I love "Fairytale", maybe more than "Love Song", but I don't think that would have done anything if released.
