Sam Sparro appears at a measly #80 in my Year End chart - considerably lower than alot of other charts with Panic At The Disco's move away from emo just ahead; Nine In The Afternoon is at #79. Ashlee Simpson's Outta My Head somehow managed to reach #4 in my weekly chart. It ends up at #78 here just behind Craig David's Insomnia, the lead single to his Greatest Hits collection. His other lead single to the Greatest Hits didn't even come close to charting. Pussycat Dolls are goin to Hate missing the Top 75 at #76 while the Guillemots just skim in there, Get Over It is a #75 reaching a peak of #3. Feeder are in #74 with We Are The People, this song was clearly not lead single material in comparison to many of the other songs on Silent Cry. The Hoosiers reach #73 with Worst Case Scenario - 3 places above its peak weekly position in the UK despite being released 3 months prior to the launch of this chart. And the second High School Musical single is in at #72, I Want It All reached #3 a couple of months back; the super collaboration of Dizzee Rascal and friends with their summer smash Dance Wiv Me is at #71.

Girls Aloud have their first entry to 2008, Can't Speak French done well to reach #70 as it did get boring quickly unfortunately. Gabriella Cilmi takes up that elusive #69 spot with her catchy Christmas cracker Warm This Winter whilst N-Dubz are at #68 with Strong Again that is yet to be released - im sure they would have prefered the number 69 spot haha. The Wombats are lickingthe wounds from that party at #67 whilst Daniel Powter is taking the Mystery Jet Home at #66 and #65. another super-collaboration between Madge and Justin Timbaland is the #64...it completely dropped out of the Top 30 after 5 weeks in the Top 10. Christina Aguilera is Gettin' Better at #63, but is there still room for improvement next year??? Adele freezes into #62 with Cold Shoulder and Scouting For Girls have their 3rd of FOUR entries in the Top 99 at #61. Surely Heartbeat is a huge contenter for #1???

At #60, Made Up Stories by Go:Audio is removed from the waiting list; the follow up She Left Me, Left Me unimpressed. Coldplay make their only appearence at #59 with the originally free download Violet Hill - far superior imo than follow up Viva La Vida. James Blunt has two songs in this section, the first being the gorgeous Carry You Home at #58 despite never reaching the Top 10. Girls Aloud are at #57 with The Promise, again much lower than in many other charts. That's Not My Name by The Ting Tings is their only entry at #56 and the Love Love Lovely Love Love Love is at #55 - James Blunts second song in the 50's. We lose our 3rd of 25 #1's at #54, The Kooks' Sway spending far less time in the chart than Konk's other two singles. Sugababes are at #53 with Denial, possibly my favourite single off Change whilst Kelly Rowland and Gym Class Heroes lead singer Travis McCoy end up at #52 with daylight; thus proving the sun does shine. The Scripts heart is breaking even paving the way for their lowest single on this countdown at a very respectable #51 considering its limited exposure - Breakeven charts here, We Cry is surely a contender for #1???

Alphabeat reach #50 with the fantastic Fascination. Had i started my chart muche earlier, it would definately be in the Top 20 of this year end chart. Taio Cruz is at #49, the duet with Luciana sounds very different to his other singles, but also manages to be far better. My favourite song by Gabriella Cilmi is at #48 - Save The Lies somehow accumulated less points than its predecessor Sweet About Me, more about that later. Take That reach the heavy heights of #47 with the not-so Greatest Day, and Alphabeat have another entry at #46 with Boyfriend, largely due to the WAWA remix of the song. Changes - Will Young's comeback single which shares the same name as Gareth Gate's - manages to creep in at #45; and Gym Class Heroes pair up with The-Dream at #44 for Cookie Jar, which has clearly run dry. Sharleen Spiteri embraces probably one of the most unexpected hits of 2008 with All The Times I Cried at #43. Feeder reach #42 with the amazing Tracing Lines at #42, definately the highlight of the Silent Cry album, it recieved absoloutely no promotion, and was demoted to Downloads Alone before release, thus making it virtualy impossible to dent the Top 200 in the UK Charts. Somehow, i charted Sweet About Me for long enough to make it my #41 of 2008, even though it no where near matches Save The Lies and now irritates me greatly...
