September 2, 200915 yr well i find you can't rely on iTunes in Ireland, i think Run This Town, will be number one whereas in the UK i think Sugababs will just pip it Really? Don't most songs that get to No.1 on iTunes get to No.1 on the charts? Although David Guetta is No.1 now, so hopefully he'll get the No.1. I don't particularly like the song, but anything really to avoid I Gotta Feeling returning to the top! I was in love with this song but I'm SO sick of it now and it definately doesn't deserve a 7th week at No.1!! Edited September 2, 200915 yr by Irishguy123

September 3, 200915 yr well i just remember at Xmas Fairytale of New York was number 1 all week and then got to number 6 but it could have changed Ah well this is about two years ago - I think - and downloads now have a much greater influence. Anyway, Pixie Lott is in the iTunes top ten with the much delayed Boys And Girls. Woop! Although it's only been on release since Wednesday so hopefully it's sold enough to chart tomorrow.

David Guetta & Akon climb one place to No2 with ‘Sexy Chick’, one place ahead of this week’s highest new entry for the Sugababes ‘Get Sexy’. This is their 21st hit single in Ireland, of which 17 have made the Top 20 and 6 of these have made the Top 3. Only one, however, has so far made it all the way to the top – ‘Push The Button’ in October 2005. The Script bounce back to the top of the Album Chart, fuelled by their sell-out five nights at the Olympia - the eighth week at No1 for their self-titled debut album since it was released just over a year ago. Florence & The Machine climb back to No2 with ‘Lungs’, closely followed by Arctic Monkeys who slip to No3 after a week on top with ‘Humbug’. Noah & The Whale have this week’s highest new entry at No19 with their second album ‘The First Days Of Spring’ – an improvement on their first album which debuted and peaked at No32 this time last year. September 4, 200915 yr Well Industry's fall isn't quite as severe this time (29 places compared to 43 for My Baby's Waiting) but then again we didn't have 16 Michael Jackson songs re-entering the Top 40 this week! So if the 16 Jacko tracks are still in the Top 40, then that shows that the drop is actually more severe (45 places ) than the previous single. Edited September 4, 200915 yr by FM11
September 4, 200915 yr Author If it hadn't been for the MJ tracks My Baby's Waiting would have been at 28 so you could argue that Burn's drop was worse.....
September 4, 200915 yr Oh dear for Industry. Anyway, another boring chart week, although I'm glad Remedy has finally broken the top ten. Although not to happy about IGF going back to No.1 for a SEVENTH week :( And it is now the longest serving No.1 download since their inception in the charts - NINE weeks! Even longer than Umbrella. Glad Boys And Girls charted this week, and it's currently No.3 on iTunes so hopefully it might challenge for No.1 next week

With their entire catalogue re-mastered and re-released on Wednesday, the 17-disc Box Set makes the greatest impact after the first two days, debuting at No13. ‘Abbey Road’, ‘Sgt Pepper’ and ‘Revolver’ follow behind, charting at No19, No22 and No28 respectively. It’s not just The Beatles making an impact on this week’s Album Chart: Rodrigo y Gabriela’s third studio album ‘11:11’ debuts at No9, Jamie.T’s second album ‘Kings & Queens’ is new at No26 and Prefab Sprout come in at No34 with ‘Let’s Change The World With Music’, their first album since 2001’s ‘The Gunman & Other Stories’ which failed to make the Chart. Black Eyed Peas ‘I Got A Feeling’ takes an eighth week at No1 on the Singles Chart and is now the third best seller of the year so far, behind Lady Gaga’s ‘Poker Face’ and ‘Just Dance’. David Guetta & Akon hold at No2 with ‘Sexy Chick’, ahead of Jay-Z ‘Run This Town’, up from No4 to No3. Pixie Lott has this week’s highest new entry at No4 with ‘Boys and Girls’ – 9 places higher than the No13 peak for her debut single ‘Mama Do’ back in June. U2 have the next new entry at No7 with ‘I’ll Go Crazy If I Don’t Go Crazy Tonight’, their third Top 10 single from ‘No Line On The Horizon’ following ‘Get On Your Boots’ (No1) and ‘Magnificent’ (No5). Shakyfan's Commentary So it seems that more people were prepared to go out and buy a 17 disc box set than any of the individual albums that it contained this week. This has to be far and away the largest "album" to chart in Ireland. I dare say it will fall heavily next week with the majority of its sales probably coming on Wednesday. An album making a huge drop THIS week is the new one from Whitney Houston. Having entered at a lowly 38 last week it misses the Top 100 completely. In the UK it fares even worse entering at 125 though this may be on import sales as according to I-Tunes UK it isn't out until October (I-Tunes Ireland lists it as 28th August). Last week saw the start of the 48th season of the world's longest running talk show - The Late Late Show. It attracted an even larger than usual TV audience as it was the first show for new presenter Ryan Tubridy and it may be that some of those extra viewers were responsible for putting both musical guests into the chart with the songs they performed. David Gray's "Fugitive" enters at 32 while sharon Corr's "It's Not A Dream" - having failed to crack the Top 50 in its first week - arrives at 29. She has instantly outperformed younger sister Andrea whose debut single "Shame On You" spent a solitary week in the chart at 43. And just when you thought you'd seen the back of it "Galway Girl" retrns for it's 83rd appearance in the Top 50 after a gap of 19 weeks. Full chart run so far is: 49 50 48 39 27 27 24 27 15 13 15 17 17 20 29 28 19 24 30 28 39 34 39 41 48 36 40 49 - 41 13 8 13 14 18 25 29 23 29 29 14 2 5 5 1 1 1 1 1 7 9 10 19 18 18 26 21 22 19 19 24 22 24 21 25 24 20 21 31 43 42 44 - 43 - 49 - - - - - - 44 48 41 - 46 - - - - - - 32 27 39 49 - 49 - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - 39 Number 1 this week Single: Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling (2nd week - 8th in total) Chart Run to date: 41 18 2 1 1 1 1 1 1 2 1 1 Download: Black Eyed Peas - I Gotta Feeling (9th week) Chart Run to date: 17 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 Artist Album: Script - The Script (2nd week - 9th in total) Chart Run to date: 1 1 1 1 1 4 2 3 3 5 5 6 6 7 10 13 8 10 12 6 4 5 3 4 6 8 11 13 18 17 17 15 13 15 17 21 27 23 25 25 26 28 31 25 8 3 9 15 8 5 3 2 1 1 2 1 1 Compilation Album: Now 73 (7th week) Chart Run to date: 1 1 1 1 1 1 1 Edited September 13, 200915 yr by Shaky Fan

September 11, 200915 yr My God, BEP needs to go away! :puke2: I heard it on three different radio stations at the same time earlier. How long has it been #1? I hope Shakira or Madonna can dethrone them next week (preferably Shakira if she gets released to iTunes this week).

Take Me Back (#3), biggest solo hit is Come On Girl (#5) and he's had four other hits, at #18, #20, #26 and #29. His album was only #17 as well. Hopefully he can be more successful this time round
