The Script continue their recent climb back up the Chart, moving from No3 to No 2, while Florence & The Machine also climb with ‘Lungs’– moving from last week’s No4 to No3. Paolo Nutini and Black Eyed Peas also both climb a place to complete the Top 5 as ‘Sunny Side Up’ takes the No4 spot and ‘The E.n.d.’ climbs to No5. The Singles Chart also sees no change at the top as Black Eyed Peas ‘I Gotta Feeling’ stays on the summit for a fourth week. Tinchy Stryder feat Amelle is this week’s highest climber leaping from No42 to No2 with ‘Never Leave You’ – the third single taken from his forthcoming album – the last of which, ‘Number 1’ feat N-Dubz, spent five weeks at No1 earlier in the year. Mr Hudson feat Kanye West also continues its journey up the Chart – from last week’s No 4 to No3 while JLS fall a place as ‘Beat Again’ slips from No3 to No4. Muse see ‘Uprising’, a track from their forthcoming album, enter the Chart at No27 as this week’s highest new entry. Shakyfan's Commentary Last week saw a total of 14 U2 albums in the Top 100 including 11 re-entries. This week as their Dublin concerts become a memory 11 of those fall back out with the remainder all heading in the same direction. The compilation chart sees a few seeminly random entries including Now 64! Now 62 returned unexpectedly around this time last year due to being included in a sale in the Xtra-Vision video library chain who were selling it at Euro 4.95. I assume that Now 64 and some of this week's other re-entries are part of a similar promotion. On the singles chart Madonna's new single makes an early debut. From what I understand UK fans will have to wait slightly longer than their Irish counterparts for an official download release though it is actually possible for them to buy it legally from 7digital's Irish site (you'lll have to register and put your country as Ireland - payment by credit/debit card or through paypal). This is quite a useful site for getting hold of Irish artists.. August 7, 200915 yr They have Madonna already? That sucks :( It seems like they are trying to stop us legally buying new music in the UK lately... Anyway, great for Hudson and Boots (where did Remedy peak there? And how has Hands done? Thanks!)
August 7, 200915 yr Author Just to clarify what happened earlier this year for newer posters... I have been posting the chart thread here and a number of other places for around 10 years. Because I had to update my spreadsheet and format the weekly posts it was usually Saturday or Sunday before they would be posted but to speed things up we decided that I would do a quick copy & paste around 6pm on Friday and then edit the post with the formatted version when I had it ready. Any general comments such as Irishguy's on the previous page are no problem - its when people paste the whole chart before me that I get  :D

Anyway, great for Hudson and Boots (where did Remedy peak there? And how has Hands done? Thanks!) And also David Guetta with Akon :) In fact Sexy Bitch is really high while Madonna quite low :o
August 7, 200915 yr Author Anyone in the UK wanting to download Madonna's single should be able to! The following is a link to a webpage with a number of legal download sites listed by country. If you click on the 7digital link under Ireland you can still register with them and buy it that way - you can use your debit / credit card or paypal! http://www.pro-music.org/Content/GetMusicO...ores-Europe.php Edited August 7, 200915 yr by Shaky Fan
August 7, 200915 yr They have Madonna already? That sucks :( It seems like they are trying to stop us legally buying new music in the UK lately... Anyway, great for Hudson and Boots (where did Remedy peak there? And how has Hands done? Thanks!) This weeks No.14 is the peak for Remedy thus far. I'm really hoping it'll crack the top ten but it seems to have dropped a bit on iTunes :(. Quite strange actually cause it was locked at No.11 for days - exactly the same as the UK iTunes. And Hands peaked at No.20 in its debut week - but dropped off the chart almost instantaneously :(:(
