yay or Alesha, Pink and Jordin! I wanna see all three women do well with there new releases.

Am also pleased to see GA slowly climbing up, i do think they'll be top 10 by the end of the week.

 GA Fans cannot have The album has sold well, as an excuse for it NOT to make Top 10! (If it doesn't)

Because Rihanna has had 7 Top 20 hits off of her MILLION PLUS selling album! So ANYONE can do it!

At the same time, can you give me any other recent exemple of artists having over 5 top 20 hits from a hugely successful album? Only because Rihanna has done it doesn't mean everyone will be able to. A success à la Rihanna happens once in the year or so, there is MUCH more examples of flop 2nd and 3rd singles.

Look at the likes of Madonna, Mariah Carey, and so many other HUGE artists that struggle to chart their singles in the top20 (and that's with bad album sales as well).

But in the end, it is obvious The Loving Kind won't be a huge success and a remembered hit like The Promise, Call The Shots, Something kinda Ooh, Jump or Sound of TU, noone denies it.

But it still it should sell over 100k quite easily in the end, and it keeps the album still strong at the moment, so there's not much to worry about. Hope this closes the GA chapter and pleases everyone's opinion on it

I think Leona has done it To some extent.

But that's because most of the time they choose Shit second and third singles, so they deserve to flop. Whereas TLK has been named one of GA's best singles, so it shouldn't be struggling like it is, especially seeing how popular GA are! I would actually say in the UK, GA are more popular than Rihanna!

Oh and before I get jumped on... I love GA (Just not as much as you lot do)

It's not the same case of Rihanna. Only two of those songs were on the original album.

4 of those songs had repressed downloads.

:P

Well, sometimes people don't click with a song, even if it's an amazing song

'The Loving Kind' is an extremly well produced songs with the whole package (great lyrics and great video), but I've never seen it as a clever single choice. Plus they've stopped promoting it 3 weeks ago (at a time 'The Promise' was still hugely popular and all over the radio). That may explain why it won't be as successful as The Promise too.

I have to agree. People always look for real reasons as to why a song underperformed but quite often they just don't click, quite simply. Not saying that's happened with TLK, mind.

Look all, Seriously TLK isn't a flop it's definately make the top 20, and you will be surprised just how much of an impact its physical sales will have as their always high with Girls Aloud.

Seriously if TLK makes top 10 on Itunes It should climb up nicely.

Do I sense negative thoughts...

In other news Lady GaGa's album is only #7 on Itunes, I honestly thought it would climb straight to number 1..

Can I just get this clear... I LIKE GA and I LIKE TLK so I hope it DOES go Top 10 (at the same time I hope it does miss the Top 10)... and at this rate it is going to miss the Top 10.

I'd say it was a clever single choice, it was the one everyone was talking about when the album was released and the one everyone wanted second.

I really believe what's hankered it until now is the fact radio and TV channels are still so hung up on 'The Promise' which means the new single gets swept aside a bit, it does happen quite a lot. I think it will be going top 10, though they could do with performing it on the Brits or something, especially as the people who produced the track are receiving an Outstanding Contribution award.
