January 11, 200916 yr Only in the singles market. I don't think downloads will ever take over the albums market. [That's if they sort out the sale prices. I once read that the manufacturing cost of an album is around £1.20. Selling it at £11.99 is quite ridiculous if that's the case]. Yeah, just for the singles. But albums are affected as well imo. January 11, 200916 yr Author When I download songs anything in a 320Bitrate is the equivalent of the quality of a CD in the High St I anticipate that download sites will sell artwork, sleeves, covers and so on as well as just an mp3, it is possible to recreate an identical CD not really, you cannot have an identical CD as the ones u can buy from a shop. it will only be a cheap imitation..... just tell me how can u print on the CD and get the full booklet with the same quality as the original  ????
January 11, 200916 yr Author I have Lightscribe technology built into my Blu Ray drive on my laptop so with that that can create identical looking CD's to the ones you buy in the High St, not that I have tried but the technology is there to totally recreate a High St CD you haven't tried it yet.... I Rest My Case!!!!!!! you cannot recreate the same thing believe me... besides not all people have Lightscribe technology built into their Blu Ray drive .....

The CD's that you buy in the shop are essentially the same as blank ones that you buy in packs of 25 in Asda except they have been lightscribed at a pressing plant with the design of the CD lasered onto the blank disc, that can be done at home easily if have a Blu Ray drive As for the booklet, simple, they would be included with the download and using CoverXP software and decent paper printed off by the home user and hey presto, an identical CD to the "physical" one
January 11, 200916 yr Well for me Yes definently it means alot of artists can't have lots of hits in the top 40 which leads to the end for them almost and physicals i thought were one of the main reasons about Music Idst because people went out to support these artists and buy their singles and now decreases them of having a life instead go on the computer. Oh and money is on the downfall which isn't good either :( Edited January 11, 200916 yr by Rock N Rolla
