January 15, 200916 yr I love how five people hav voted 'FLOP!', do people REALLY see it missing the Top 75 altogether? :/ It's about how well you THINK it will do, not what you WANT. Eugh.
January 15, 200916 yr There's not a chance this is going to miss the top 10, so those of you who voted anything below that have just wasted a vote. Never Again peaked at 9 and My December at 2 with literally zero promotion. We've already had half the promotion that had and the single's not even out yet. Walk Away and Breakaway peaked in the 20's because over 1 million people had already bought the album by the time they'd been released. If you want to start posting positions and stats, why not post them on the 52+ weeks 'Breakaway' spent in the album charts? And on the SUBG2 thing, of course they're going to sound remotely similar as they have been produced by the same production team. Apart from minor similarities they're nothing alike. SUBG is rock/pop, MLWSWY is electropop. SUBG has a bridge, MLWSWY does not... I could go on. It's just how Lady GaGa's "Just Dance" & "Poker Face" sound alike, because they were both done by RedOne.
January 15, 200916 yr Author Good GREIF. :manson:Are you saying Good Grief at the fact that I said it's about as anticipated as U2's Comeback?? Coz if you are then the reason why I said that is because in an online poll, Kelly Clarkson was only 1% behind U2 in 'Who's Comeback Album are you most looking forward too?' and they were on 30+% each! Third Place was about 14%. I can't believe you predict Number 19. It has a similar sound and has been compared to P!nk's 'So What', so I don't see how it's "So 2005 :drama:" Ah well, your prediction...
January 15, 200916 yr It reminds me of a shit version of 'It's All Your Fault' really. It will no doubt appeal to the masses though.
January 15, 200916 yr It's not really anything like It's All Your Fault. All they have in common is that they're 10/10 songs.
January 15, 200916 yr Let's look back at the prediction poll for 'Never Again' which actually reached #9... Predict #1 [ 6 ] [12.24%] #2-5 [ 30 ] [61.22%] #6-10 [ 8 ] [16.33%] #11-20 [ 2 ] [4.08%] #21-40 [ 0 ] [0.00%] #41-75 [ 0 ] [0.00%] #76+ [ 3 ] [6.12%] Total Votes: 54 http://www.buzzjack.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=35705 Quelled surprise 73% of posters vastly over estimated its position! Including Jark... Number 3, we love her, but its like Que Hiciste IMO, the remix is FAR better than the radio edit! Clearly once again the love for Ms Clarkson is blinding people in to making rather over enthusiastic predictions. :P

Third Place was about 14%. ONE online Internet poll – wow that’s conclusive then! It’s preposterous to equate the anticipation for U2 whom have been consistently selling albums for over 2 decades to Clarkson who is effectively so far a one-album wonder. End of. I can't believe you predict Number 19. It has a similar sound and has been compared to P!nk's 'So What', so I don't see how it's "So 2005 :drama:" Such comparisons don’t hold up except to the tone deaf. Edited January 15, 200916 yr by ej87
January 15, 200916 yr That poll was for Q magazine as well. Or was it NME? The type of mag which would hugely favour U2 either way... And this DOGS on Never Again. LORD knows why you're so insistent it's going to flop when it's had 95% great reaction and is quite clearly going to be massive. In 2 days on American radio it's got 7 million audience impressions...
January 15, 200916 yr In fairness, past chart positions mean very little, an amazing song is an amazing song. And most amazing songs do very well. This is the first KC song i have liked and i will defo be buying.

Since when has American airplay translated into guaranteed success over here? It’s not as if I want her to flop but I reiterate it’s been vastly over estimated in this thread just like ‘Never Again’. :P
January 15, 200916 yr Almost always? I don't remember the last time an airplay megahit from the US didn't explode in the UK either frankly...
January 15, 200916 yr Almost always? I don't remember the last time an airplay megahit from the US didn't explode in the UK either frankly... Lil' Wayne...
January 15, 200916 yr The poll was for Rolling Stone. And it was a readers poll. As for ej87, someone obviously hasnt been paying attention to the chart and to the success rate of Dr Luke/Max Martin.
January 15, 200916 yr The poll was for Rolling Stone. And it was a readers poll. As for ej87, someone obviously hasnt been paying attention to the chart and to the success rate of Dr Luke/Max Martin. It's hardly one of their best efforts and certainly no About You Now or I Kissed A Girl.
January 15, 200916 yr It's hardly one of their best efforts and certainly no About You Now or I Kissed A Girl. Your seriously comparing this to IKAG and AYN?! Hardly their best efforts either. They relied on catchy choruses. MLWSWY does not. It has the verse, the chorus and the beats. Never mind the voice  They arent even in the same league mate... MLWSWY has the backing of both of the heads of Sony BMG which Kelly is under. Never mind the fact that Clive Davis for once actually LIKES the album this time round.
