Once a conventional dance orientated act, they now have an energetic and raw sound that is a mixture of electronic glam pop and punky guitar rock. 'Voodoo Child' is a sexy, raucous club anthem that re-works Elvis Costello's classic riff from his track 'Pump It Up' and features the tantalising husky rock vocals from Neighbours star Natalie Bassingthwaighte. A sure fire hit, it is set to be one of the anthems of the year. Where do you this this will peak?
June 14, 200619 yr I'm REALLY hoping it does well as I've loved them for so long and have been waiting for this to be a big hit here  Thank god R1 have picked it up as it can now become a huge hit...

June 17, 200619 yr I thought you hated songs that ripped off old songs? I know the keyboard riff originally came from Elvis Costello's 1978 hit Pump It Up But at least it's a remake of the riff and the rest of the song is so brilliant. Sugababes single Freak Like Me was the same with the keyboard backing remade from the old Tubeway Army 1979 #1 single Are Friends Electric. What I don't like is recent UK dance tracks being samples of the original looped with just the odd vocal mixed in. This gives dance music a bad name although lots of R&B tracks are the same. I know that a lot of European dance singles are old songs but they are mainly complete remakes. Edited June 17, 200619 yr by Euro Music
