Well Lily has not climbed as fast as Kelly Clarkson did on US iTunes earlier this week (to the summit inside 24 Hours) has she?

To be honest I expected it to be up to #3 by now.

Nope ;)

But Kelly has been everywhere on US radio (airplay, interviews etc.) whereas Lily has just been in the tabloids.

woop for dolls. Whats happening with that? Has it started getting airplay?
It's started to circulate the music channels alot at the moment... also same with AAR which is why it's climbing quite a bit too, I have yet to see The Fray's video I've seen it once or twice but that's all...

She's doing alright, Friday is an odd day to release while Kelly was out on a regular day and wasn't she #3 after 24 hours? Lily still has a while to go until she's been on there for 24 hours (though I doubt she'll be in the top 3 by then)

Nope ;)

The Fear already has loads of airplay

Leona finally out the top 10!

Lily should be number one by tomorrow evening i think.

I have to ask why release it on a Friday, therefore losing one day of sales to the week before the most important week for the song.

I like 'The Fear' more than most of her past stuff, if the horrible 'Smile' can be a #1, this by rights should as well.

I'm hoping the album flops though, just to take her down a peg or two.

It makes sense really, it gives the track a couple of days to pick up and climb iTunes, and it'll be high up on iTunes ready for the start of the week when the single's released physically.

if Lily can get to #1 by midnight (might this be a UK itunes record for a released single) and establish a big enough lead tomorrow it could easily break into the top 20 on Sunday.

To increase exposure. Both by being high on iTunes at the start of the sales period, additional airplay from being in the Top40 plus extra exposure in the newspapers.

when lily finally gets to number one it will be interesting to see how long she stays there.

I dont think shes got much tough competition so she might be there for a long time.
