Nar, i dont like this song as much as shine atall but its ok.

Doesnt have a chance of no1 after selling all those albums though.

I wish those other two would get to do more than whisper aswell.

Shine = Up All Night

Fun Maker

So? Although UAN is 100% better than Shine .... I'd say they've got the 2010 Best Single at the Brits all sewn up!!!

Believe me ... it WILL be number 1. I'm normally a pessimist but I'm so optimistic about this particular song! Its just bloody lovely. Sorry for spamming at this point ... but its so long since I've been as optimistic about a TT song as I am about this!

^^ hmmm but even if it is that amazing, it will lose too many sales in early downloads. Plus like i said, everyones already got it. Thats my opinion on it anyway.

Now you see this is where the Take That fans have it made. We're holding back ... waiting for the physical release! Then the download buys will be combined with the physicals. We can bide our time ... we're old .... and we've got more money!

You would have said the same about Shine last year - but if they perform Up All Night on Dancing On Ice (as they did last year with Shine) then I think it stands a very good chance of topping the chart

Well there's going to be promo for it here one way or another Pete ... during the week leading up to Comic Relief.

Also the week after next there's a new hour-long documentary on C5 about them (just on the 'comeback'). I'll post more on that in our forum a bit later (maybe tomorrow actually) as I'm going to win the lottery tonight so I'm going into Liverpool now to pick up some gear suitable for Barbados!

Actually not. The orchestration at the beginning remember me of Cecilia. :yahoo:

50 ways to leave your lover goes totally in other direction musically and also as feeling. I fall to find connection between the two songs like i don't find resemblance with Shine, apart that Mark is singing and that both are up-tempo.

Not the whole Iris just the section which I found myself singing this to:

You just slip out the back, Jack

Make a new plan, Stan

You don't need to be coy, Roy

Just get yourself free

Hop on the bus, Gus

You don't need to discuss much

Just drop off the key, Lee

And get yourself free

Perhaps i like both songs too much and the orchestration is soo different so i still don't find them similar  . It is a "Simon&Garfunkel" atmosphere all over "Up all night" but is more retro- S&G style as being similar with a particular song.

I agree with you Iris ... its Cecilia every time (it took hubby to point it out after we'd been wracking our brains for ages trying to think what it reminded us of).

Not a bad position for Take That. It'll zoom back up the chart in March with the release of Up All Night though so I'm fairly happy with their position at the moment.

Is "up all night" definately their next single?

Is Lily Allen anywhere in the midweeks? The fear is now no1 on itunes.

It was only released on Friday, so it wouldn't be possible for it to be in any of the midweeks from this thread.

It'll most likely be in the top 40 in the official charts today though, possibly even top 30! :o
