fair enough that Peter can't host XIV for 6 weeks, it just seems like an ideal opportunity to try out one of the spin-offs in three weeks time...

 

6 weeks is a long time in BJSC terms and a lot of people were eager to see something happen after XIII anyway...

these are some rough dates that could fit around it to accomodate a couple of spin offs plus the ten contests and the best of, making 13 things in all instead of the planned 12!?! It wouldn't clash with Eurovision which is what some people are worried about as that is in mid-may...

Spin Off: mid-feb

XIV: early March

XV: early-April

XVI: early May

XVII: early June

Spin Off: late June

XVIII: mid July

XIX: mid-late August

XX: mid-late Septmeber

Best Of II: mid-late October

XXI: mid-late November

XXII: mid-late December

 

and for those worried that the spin-off will be overshadowed by XIV, whenever we do it this will happen...for example if we did it in May, it would be overshadowed by planning for the June BJSC

No but the nominations would go on during 21 and it reduces the bias there would be towards 20.
