I never said it was a sign quality? I was just using it as an example for showing how well Coldplay have done. This plagarism claim, I cannot see, just like I couldn't see with Viva Lad Vida. People have said they can see it, but I just can't, and it's not cos there's bias. There's absolutely NO massive similarities between the riffs to me.

Like her forthcoming album track Everyone's At It was pulled from being the comeback single because of similarities to an old Specials single.

 

Still her mooted next single sounds highly original doesn't it especially on the chorus.

And, I'm afraid I find it quite difficult to like the music of an artist if I cant stand them as people to be honest.... The music comes from them (well, assuming they write it of course...), and if I find a particular political or social view of an artist objectionable (ie, Axl Rose saying "immigrants and faggots/they make no sense to me") in one of their songs or in an interview, well I'm very much afraid they wont be receiving ten quid of MY hard earned dosh..... :rolleyes:

m8.... i dont care IF lily allen rips off someone else, that aint the point....the point is that the first time i heard the new coldplay effort i recognised it striaght away, i knew which note were being played next... the riff is pretty much identical.

Lily knows it rips off the shine chorus, and when it went on myspace she posted a blog to say it probably wouldn't go on the album as she couldn't be arsed with the paperwork.

 

Looks like she did the paperwork after all.

 

I'm sure quite a bit of Alright, Still uses samples. But they are all credited. Lily is a talented lyricist, she can't write music though.
