Working title of their new record, due out in the spring. They've been recording it in LA. Touring in May...

Was thinking about them the other day and how they hadn't released anything for quite a while, so it's great to see they're coming back soon -_-

Cannot waaaait. Hope it's as good as their first two records... and hopefully they'll be doing the festival circuits in the summer aswell.

Apparently the title's now been confirmed as 'Quiken the Heart'

I have their previous albums, and I like their stuff, looking forward to their new material.

They've always been fairly good for an 'indie' band, so I am quite excited. ;o Our Velocity, Postcard of a Painting, and Apply Some Pressure are choonz.

They've had a few good songs but at the moment I am not excited about it at all. I'll just wait and see what the lead single is like.

Recordstore have the album down for the 11th May, not the 26th

Lead single is "The Kids Are Sick Again" due out 4th May on Warp.

They played The Kids Are Sick Again last August at V... I wish I could remember how it goes - whether I liked it even! But VERY excited for this, going to see them in May, they are AMAZING.

They've got a free download from the new album up on their website for anyone that's interested.

 

I hope it's a grower, but then again it is only an album track...

Listening to this free track, they haven't progressed at all. They just seem to be content churning out the same type of stuff over and over again.

 

It is decent.

I actually like 'Wraithlike'. Not as strong as some of their previous album tracks but a decent song nonetheless.

 

Looking forward to hearing the rest of the album.

I heard "The Kids Are Sick Again" today and was totally underwhelmed by it :( I think they'd have done better releasing "Wraithlike" as the lead single.

I was reading their offical forums a few weeks ago, and even their top posters were saying they really had no idea why The Kids Are Sick Again was the lead single! None of them had been overly impressed with it when they played it on their last tour! Poor choice for a lead single. Wraithlike is muchmuch better.
