Niouse Dela Numayanie

There were celebrations on Monday night across Numayania due to Mimmi's successful attempt to return Numayania to the top 20. Du peaked as high as second place during the course of the evening, however we are more than happy with the place it eventually reached, and would like to thank all of our friends and voters for making us the most successful new country of the year in BJSC, and third overall. Due to NTV studios relocation from Cherietaune, Balan in the north of Numayania to L'Andone, New Svetlandiya in the south Numayania will unfortunately miss the Christmas spin off, however we want to be back with a bang (no pun intended!) in XXIII! Our potential entries will be revealed tomorrow and the chosen entry will be confirmed just before the deadline in late December. We hope that you can help us decide in the meantime and will share part of your holiday season in Numayania :) Sanque-tes!

Chansong Bainge Pala Numayanie

Welcome to the National Final for Numayania's entry in XXIII. After a minor return to form with Mimmi Sandén in XXII (well, it did better than Serebro) we want to find an entry that can get us back to our rightful place in the top 10! We have six entries to choose from this time, so please check them out, and give me your votes :cheer: Sanque-tes!

Song 1: Ankie Bagger - You Can't Buy My Love

Song 2: Sinitta - The Day You Said Goodbye (Remix, would prefer the original, but it's not on Youtube :()

Song 3: Alcazar - One Two Three Four

Song 4: Bananarama - Love Don't Live Here

Song 5: Bananarama - Twisting

Song 6: Maria Montell - Bang Bang Boogie

Vota-tes fiouplise :w00t:

will listen to the others later at some point, but I don't think One Two Three Four is quite strong enough - coming from somebody who rates Disco Defenders as one of the top 15 albums of the decade (tba where :kink:) and has given Alcazar 22 of a possible 24 points in the contest (:o), I have a feeling it would flop, I do like it but it's a sort of 8/10 or 8.5/10 song for me - I'd probably give it no points or 1 point

OK, fair enough. I probably won't send it, but I can't think of a better entry. I thought of an early track like Crying At The Discoteque, but you don't really like that era do you? :(

Ankie Bagger - You Can't Buy My Love 55/100 Nice to listen to but nothing special.

Sinitta - The Day You Said Goodbye 60/100 Same here but a bit better.

Alcazar - One Two Three Four 40/100 I am yet to find a song by this band that I like. :P

Bananarama - Love Don't Live Here 65/100 This is quite nice but most likely not enough for points from me.

Bananarama - Twisting 50/100 Same as song no. 1.

Maria Montell - Bang Bang Boogie 55/100 Again the same as above.

Sorry. ;)

Feel free to comment on my possible entries as well. You can find them here. :P

indifferent, don't love the early singles or hate them...Alcastar onwards I like everything

Alcastar is a good thought

Thanks Zech :D

Maria Montell is so 60s, it sounds like a James Bond theme in places, I love the track.

I think it's pretty cool too, thanks Martin :)

Time for some Greenfroze listening! :D (and my way of rating the musicality :kink: )

Ankie Bagger - You Can't Buy My Love

- 8/9 out of 10

I love it! You know, thanks to Mimmi Sandén - Numayania is now number 1 on my scoreboard again  , and with this you'll probably fly high above the rest! :D (depending on the contest, definitely, but I can see myself awarding You can't by my love some decent points.)

Sinitta - The Day You Said Goodbye

- 4 out of 10

The beginning (and the rest) is quite average imo. And the chorus isn't as defined as it probably should be. Feels like verses all the way through.. and me, as BJSC number 1 Numayania lover ( :P ) would prefer any other song but this.

Alcazar - One Two Three Four

- 7 out of 10

A good song. I really like the chorus, and if I feel this song correctly it might have some growing capacities as well.

Bananarama - Love Don't Live Here

- 8 out of 10

The robotic calmness sound at the beginning, evolves into classical robotic spinning disco in a water tank made of glass. The music is playful, but hypnotizing. Might get some decent points from me, as this might be a better grower.

Bananarama - Twisting

- 7+ out of 10

The beginning was promising, but then it started to get foul-ish.

Hmm.. then again, the chorus is good, and I do like this song. But probably not enough to get some points. Unsure..

Maria Montell - Bang Bang Boogie

- 8+ out of 10

Maria Montell is so 60s, it sounds like a James Bond theme in places, I love the track.

+1

But I love the track 70% :kink:

My personal vote goes to You can't buy my love!

There ya go Numayania, and if you would listen to some of my song choices as well, I'd be grateful ^_^

The Christmas Eve edition of BJSCToude.ny reports that up and coming British band Hurts are being lined up to represent Numayania in the twenty-third edition of the Buzzjack Song Contest with their current Numayanian Top 10 smash Wonderful Life. The delegation is said to be wary of being viewed as cheap or uninspired, however this is an immensely popular song on Numayanian radio and is said to be leading the betting with Blokeriches bookmakers. One rumoured plan is to use a remix of the song, such as this one, as Ashton have chosen to do with their entry Sidney Samson:

However, others believe that the original version would be more successful:

We would be interested to hear the opinions of the rest of the Buzzjack World :kink:

it was between this and Caroline for me last month so obviously I adore it - if it comes higher than 5th though I shall cry :kink:
I adore this track after I heard it in Gooddelta's personal chart, so far in this competition there are 2 tracks I adore, Hurts will probably get some points, but not high ones.

I hoped you'd notice it when I posted the video - it struck me as your sort of thing ^_^

That's when I noticed as I tend to play the videos to get to know the tracks in hour chart. I fell in love with it straight away.

I just feel like I found some great tracks already over Hurts, Mdice, Palmyra and United States Of Jack are stand out tracks so far for me.

Really don't like it, sorry! :( But I think it's quite a BJSC friendly song despite being so different, back in the top 10 for Numayania I reckon.

Oh well, thanks for your opinion anyway Shine :) And thanks other people too

My last consideration is this from the Nolans new album:

Haha, I love that! They're quite a guilty pleasure, generally my music taste is far from credible but they are one step too far lol. I think you're clever enough to choose Hurts over them. :P I didn't know they had a new album though, I thought it was just the tour.
