May 15, 200916 yr Ukraine SERIOUSLY underrated there :kink: Putting a bet is the only way to go :kink:
May 16, 200916 yr I put a relatively big bet on Ukraine at 28:1. (I don't have money at betfair.com for the 30:1.) What do you think of Turkey at 27:2 or 10:1? Edit: I'm no expert on Eurovision betting, but I do know something about sports betting, and it is indeed possible to hurt the bookies badly when they offer such big odds on these sorts of things. Like, I got the (American Football) Rams at 250:1 when they won the Superbowl in their miracle year, and more impressively I got the Rams at big odds to win their division after a few games had been played and it was already a near mathematical certainty that they would win their division. I had built a computer simulation for the American Football season, so it was easy for me to spot their mistakes. Edited May 16, 200916 yr by FinalCylon
May 16, 200916 yr Turkey is reasonably good at that rate, but I would go each-way with it. Anyway I put a fiver on Ukraine to do the whole thing at 30/1 yesterday, and a fiver for UK as Winner Without Norway at about 9/1. We've come second fifteen times for god's sake... how ironic would it be? I'm thinking I should have gone Each Way now, but never mind...

May 16, 200916 yr They REALLY don't like Moldova :o Should I go in for a last-minute each-way punt on top ten? :heehee:
May 16, 200916 yr I've put a quid each on Turkey, Iceland and Lithuania :heehee: The latter only because of the ridiculously long odds obviously.
May 16, 200916 yr How is it at all ridiculous? :o The juries will adore Jade, and going on near the end will mean lots of televotes - certainly more than Iceland, who rather unfortunately will be forgotten by a few people :( I'm certain both will go top 10...
May 16, 200916 yr Even with juries and positioning in her favour, it simply isn't a very memorable song. :( Top 15.
May 16, 200916 yr Basically betting on coming top 4. Betfair makes it simple and calls it top 4 betting, but other bookies divide your stake (the amount you bet) in two and pay different amounts due to the position it receives.
May 16, 200916 yr I put 5 on Turkey to win the whole thing at 8/1 ... probably not happening, but just maybe ...
