Considering how much 'My Life Would Suck Without You' has been hyped by certain posters on here you could be easily forgiven for thinking it was a HUGE flop!

 

It's not doing anything like as well as I thought/feared it would, but then all the hype I've seen has been on here and I've remembered that (after what CoolClarity became) that Kelly Clarkson 'loons' are far worse than any other acts, Girls Aloud, Sugababes, Take That. Amateurs, all of them.

Just compare the rises of Lady GaGa's Just Dance & Lily Allen's The Fear on iTunes for a comparison.

 

Lady GaGa was added very late on Sunday 28th Dec & debuted at #44; it did not reach the iTunes Top 10 until Tue 30th Dec 30 Hours later; was #3 on the 31st & did not reach #1 on iTunes until 7pm on Jan 1st. So it took 3.5 days to reach the top spot.

 

Lily Allen was added at the beginning of Friday 23rd and was up to #8 by the beginning of Saturday 24th reaching #1 on iTunes by the time of Sunday afternoon's chart countdown. So Lily took just over 2.5 days to reach the top of iTunes.

 

So as Kelly was added at the beginning of Saturday, then let see what the iTunes chart looks like tomorrow evening for a valid comparison with Lily or Tuesday evening for a valid comparison with Lady GaGa.

 

However I still think Taylor Swift & Kelly Clarkson will be next Sunday's Top 2; the question will be in which order.

I think you'll find that RabbitFurCoat is saying that in his view Kelly Clarkson's iTunes performance is not as great as he expected from the 'hype on buzzjack'.

Therefore comparing it's performance to other singles doesn't change that perspective.
