February 23, 200916 yr I was saddened to read his obit online yesterday.....seems like a lot of the good ones are dying off these days....saddening..... :(
February 24, 200916 yr I felt really sad hearing that news last week.Kelly Groucutt was even playing in Berlin on Tuesday night with The Orchestra (former members of ELO).He had a great voice & was a great man.I saw him twice last year at a small club near Solihull where he jammed with a local band .Afterwards he chatted away to the audience as if they were all his long lost friends. I video'd some of his performances and put them on You Tube .While I was filming other acts afterwards he sat down next to my Dad & was chatting away to him .Here's Kelly singing Runaway.
February 26, 200916 yr A real shame, ELO gave a different slant on the music of the 70's, by introducing cellos, violins etc. They certainly had a distinctive sound, and wrote some classic pop tunes. RIP Kelly.
February 26, 200916 yr Bloody sad news! Kelly was a really happy addition to ELO - really good voice too. RIP Norma http://www.chartattack.com/news/66418/eigh...oucutt-was-cool Edited February 26, 200916 yr by Norma_Snockers
