I still don't see the doubt that most of you people see in this not making top 10, yes it is harder these days but who would've thought PCD would go top 10 with WTAT a song that flopped in the US completely and especially after the critically aclaimed I Hate This Part, so will it really be THAT impossible for Untouchable to go top 10 after the critically aclaimed TLK only just scraped it. I think it sail into the top 10, regardless and it is generally a better single than TLK imo ..

 

Good point actually, and WTAT had help from their tour so here's hoping likewise for 'Untouchable'.

Singles coinciding with tours pretty much never have any effect on sales...

 

Yeh i dont think thats true, it obviously helped pussycat dolls when they were on tour.

 

Obviously the smaller acts who only play theatres, it probably wont benefit them but GA are playing for 3 nights at some venues so there is obviously mass appeal. I went to see pcd at an arena and there were empty blocks so GA have a better chance.

 

I think radio will get behind this single too. Plus don't forget, we have the video to come yet

Why too drastic? I don't think it's much darker than this, and it's quite short already...

What I mean is that people are more likely to buy a 3 minute radio edit of a song that is originally over 6 minutes than a radio edit of a song that is already at a radio friendly length. I'm interested in getting the single mix of "Untouchable" but if they released "Love Is Pain" or any other song on their album, I'd probably stick with the album version.

But what does that have to do with predicting the single? I think we have a local moaning and groaning thread, iTunes, so until its on iTunes you should rather keep your one sided opinions to yourself untill you can contribute something worthy to this thread which is a Predict the single thread, which intials discussing where it will chart, release details etc and not spamming that you want it to flop. For an 18year old, your posts sure do not reflect your age and in no way was I flattering myself but infact 'stating the truth' as you always love to say.

The Dancing On Ice performance was possibly one of the best performances I've ever seen in my life!

 

By all rights, this should ensure them a massive hit based on just that performance.

That performance by Girls Aloud just then was fantastic, "Untouchable" could well peak before its release if further promotion is as good as it was tonight.

True to form, the song has grown on me since Dancing On Ice. :P
