Posted February 26, 200916 yr Apperently it's just been announced that Magnificent will be the second single I'm glad it is'nt Crazy Tonight, cause although it would be a radio hit, I think U2 need a truly great classic sounding track and Magnificent is that.
February 27, 200916 yr But why wasn't it the lead single? I was asking myself that question also. And then I realized that somehow Get On Your Boots is different from whole album, I see it as more commercial, not really U2 style, as others songs on the album, maybe they wanted something like that for the first single. Well, that's just my point of view. I'm glad Magnificent is second single, I see it as a good concert opener! :cheer: But, I really want to see I'll Go Crazy and No Line On The Horizon as singles also!
March 26, 200916 yr Funny that, I am finally giving this album my first listen having buying it the other week and I was thinking that this song should a single
March 29, 200916 yr Kind of a boring song for me  , no high, no low. Not a bad song, but nothing to remember (still better as the first single). I expected far more from this album.
April 17, 200916 yr The second single from No Line On The Horizon will be Magnificent and it's released on May 4th. Check out the single sleeve. The track has been getting rave reviews ever since 'No Line...' was released at the beginning of last month. The Times in London called it 'stunning' while Q magazine called it a 'slow-building anthem with the ambience of The Unforgettable Fire'. The band shot a video for the track in Morocco and we'll be carrying it on U2.com very soon. Meantime here's a live performance from The Somerville Theatre in Boston last month. Source: http://www.u2.com/news/article/4674 Can't wait for new video! :cheer:
April 22, 200916 yr Have just looked on the official site, it's May 4th :cheer: I very rarely buy the singles when I have the songs on an album. Does U2 normally have good b sides?
