if someone has the CD it will say on there how much goes to charity, i think between £1-1.50 would go to chartiy.

If a call that costs 50p has 38. something going to charity for Let's Dance For Comic Relief, i think £1-1.50 is about right.

Walk This Way is miles better than JCGE in every angle possible.. There's just no way you can compare the two. WTW deservedly got no1 on not only it being for charity but also a high quality great song. Where JCGE is just plain awful and the stalling really speaks for itself . .
From that £1.99 about £1 is spent on manufacturing costs and a further chunk goes to the store. Probably about 50p goes to charity.

You would be better just giving direct but I don't think people would think of doing that (even though it'd be even more as if its gift-aided a further 28p per pound is added to a donation to charity). I can't stand the song (nothing to do with The Saturdays - I just think the song is crap - even when Depeche Mode sang it) so I hope it does well. Charity singles are a way of getting people (who wouldn't normally go out of their way to give - not through meanness - but just convenience) to give something to a charity. They can buy it at the checkout without the inconvenience of giving their details on-line for a donation. So they kill two birds with one stone - they donate to charity whilst at the same time getting their spam and cabbage in for tea!

On The Sats website, it says ALL profits go towards Comic Relief but im not sure how accurate that is. In other news, the girls co-wrote both JCGE and amazing b-side 'Golden Rules'.

On the advert for the song (Which is heavily shown on 4Music) it say's 30p... But I dunno whether that's for the download or CD...

Co-wrote Just Can't Get Enough. Erm, didn't Depeche Mode kind of write it ?

I'm just gonna go out and say this and i apologize in advance.

As much as i love Girls Aloud and their music some of their fans really do put me slightly off them but luckily most of their fans are nice and non delusional.

On another note it looks like this weeks chart is going to be another gooden.

If it's the profit than it must be around 20-30% of the actual price of the CD.

Exactly, thats what i thought!

I'm a massive Sugababes fan and i hated WTW, and i think JCGE is much much better than WTW.

agree, TOTALLY!

Reminds me of Jasper Carrot in one of his routines. He said ... 'Here's a song I wrote ... Bridge Over Troubled Water ... unfortunately Simon & Garfunkel wrote it first'

I definately prefer JCGE to WTW.

But, i think the sats doing WTW would have made that cover even worse and i think girls aloud would have done a better job with JCGE.

i think it should have been, The Saturdays Vs Girls Aloud Vs Sugababes.
we haven't had an update in like 3 pages.
I definately prefer JCGE to WTW.

I fact I prefer JCGE to Issues :heehee:

Personally I'd go with the opinion of two separate polls:

Total Guitar Magazine in 2008 voted the GA/SBs cover of the Aerosmith original the 2nd worst cover of all time.

BBC 6 Music in 2008 voted GA/SBs cover of the Aerosmith original the worst cover of all time. Ironically the Run DMC v Aerosmith 1986 remake was voted the 3rd best cover of all-time.

Whilst its chart performance had a very McFly like chart run:

High quality great song? Please. It was both groups' lowpoint of their careers, terrible song.
