im surprised at all the 'anti radiohead' tbh, they are critically acclaimed by the music industry and music critics alike, so radiohead i think is a case of 'i might not like them, but i see that they are bloody good'...

sorry but they arnt in the same catagory as the others listed here.

Well obviously the people that hate Radiohead are obviously Miley Cyrus fans.

Miley Cyrus has claimed that Radiohead snubbed her at the Grammy Awards last month.

The Hannah Montana star asked her manager to get her an introduction to the British band but was given the cold shoulder.

"My manager asked and said, you know, 'Miley, she's really obsessed and she'd really like to meet [you]', and they were like, 'Yeah, we don't really do that'," she told a Portland radio station.

"I left 'cos I was so upset. I wasn't going to watch. I'd already texted all my friends, we were all freaking out.

"This is someone who I... would have cried to [have met], they are like my rock Gods. They're the reason that I love music. Stinkin' Radiohead! I'm gonna ruin them, I'm going to tell everyone."

Cyrus released new single 'Fly On The Wall' on February 16.

That's made me liked them a little bit more. :heehee: Their performance of 15 Step was dam good, but anything else? Pure cack.

I agree with The Eagles (as already mentioned)..

oh i just thought of another, might of already been mentioned...

Simon and Garfunkel.

Dunno how anyone can call someone who did stuff like Hotel California and Life In The Fast Lane boring lol

Their live album 'Hell Freezes Over' is amazing.

I agree, to dismiss the Eagles as boring would be like dismissing the whole country rock movement as they were the most commercially successful in that category of music.

But imo, country rock- is boring. :heehee:

Don't get me wrong I like the odd track by the Eagles, especially the 2 you mention, but the rest is just dull :( and I have their recent greatest hits album. See I even gave them a chance, but they failed to inspire me :)

I love country rock

Eagles, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Molly Hatchett, 38 Special, The Outlaws, ZZ Top, ok there is fundamental differences between some of those groups but they all still are classed under the country rock umbrella even though ZZ Top are more blues rock

So she's just a cash-cow, but I think Radiohead should really be a bit more grounded. Perhaps Thom Yorke would feel his reputation would be tarnished beyond repair if he got talk talking to a "I was, like, oh my god" yank!

Phil Collins

Leonard Cohen

Bob Dylan

Suzanne Vega (I've seen her live - every insomniac should)

Spice Girls (all image zero content)

Tori Amos

Enya

Sting

Dire Straits

U2 post War, especially Joshua Tree - most overrated band of our time

Stereophonics - pub rock for fat football fans

Mike Oldfield

Crosby Stlls and Nash

Mariah Carey

Whitney Houston

Michael Jackson post Thriller

99% of r'n'b

100% of hip hop from the nineties onwards

King Crimson

Tangerine Dream

Elvis Presley - the world's most overrated artist - he made a handful of classics - the rest is rancid

Garth Brookes

Can't believe the mentions of Radiohead here - pre OK Computer, yes, they were just another rock band.... after that album, though - perhaps people here are confusing challenging with boring. And personally, I like a challenge. They're a band who bring art back into music - something that's sorely lacking these days.

I'm going to say Take That. They dominated the charts during my youth. I don't know how anyone can actually listen to any of their songs. It's not like they were amazing.

Travis - that parody "why do all our songs sound the same?" to "why does it always rain on me?" was spot on. Why anyone who bought 'The Man Who' thought they needed another ten songs that sounded exactly the same is beyond me.

(Yes, granted their first album has some variety but as soon as they found their second album formula they stuck with it)

Agree with most of that list, however I thought Bad was a better Jacko album than Thriller

All the rap acts

theres far worse then mcfly who btw AINT RETRO!

All the rap acts? How odd. <_<

yeah i must admit i dont get his sweeping statement, even i reckon theres a couple of decent rap tracks!

For me, one of the most boring acts of recent years, over the last 10-20 years or so has to be Radiohead. Whilst they have produced 2 great songs in Creep & No Promises, Thom Yorke has to be the most miserable looking singer i have ever seen & the songs are so depressing -_-
