Beth's haunting voice, the conversion from a dreamy track into a mechanical one, THAT drum breakdown before the synth echo fading out - it's epic defined! :/ No need to bloody :/ the poor boy just because he doesn't like them. Talk about musical snobbery Tyron, you used to be better than that :o Nuu album = amazing.

I :/'d when I saw what Jonny wrote. Fair enough if it was a little bit more detailed than "boring" but to cast off what I and many others believe to be a technicallyy and emotively very strong piece of grandiose music is a bit...well ignorant. There's a basis to Tyron's opinion, some detail which is better than Jonny managed.

I find 'The Rip' to be an extremely beautiful piece of music and couldn't disagree with him any further if I tried but to come on Jonny in the manner that he did reeked of snobbery imo. "I like this piece of music, you don't, therefore you deserve a :/". There's ways around explaining a difference in opinion without throwing emotes such as :/ about left, right and centre. I'm not saying there shouldn't be any justification for calling what is an obviously well-crafted four and a half mins of music 'boring' but like I said, ways and means.

The initial comment I made was off the cuff and said in a light-hearted manner (hence then :o ), it was only when you brought it up that I then felt the need to explain myself (and thus we get further into the discussion). No matter how much somebody dissed one of my favourite songs I wouldn't feel the need to resort to :/ing them. Like you said yourself the way he came on was a bit strong and imo OTT. Jonny calling it boring in the first place was a bit ignorant but the whole reply read to me as if Jonny SHOULD like this and was in the wrong for not doing so, is all I was trying to say. If Jonny doesn't like it then he's more than entitled to not like it. There wasn't even an issue here in the first place, Tyron knows that I don't dislike him and the further this goes on the further it seems I am picking away at what he's saying and generally being a bit pernickety over one post. Which is very far from what I set out to do. I've said what I wanted to say now and that r it from me.

April 6, 200916 yr I'm actually with Tyron and Jake tbh... The post from Jonny was glib and without any real reason behind it.... I mean, I've very often said that Coldplay were boring, but then have gone on to say why I think they're boring..... Have an opinion sure, but please back it up.....
April 20, 200916 yr i thought that the whole thread was a joke. i mean who cares about the horrors in 2009? then i v tried Sea Within a Sea and OMG! amazing stuff. now i cant wait to hear the album.
