Posted March 22, 200916 yr A recent report found that British people are the least likely of all Europeans to step in if they witness a crime. But would you intervene to assist a stranger in danger? see article here : http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime...er-1648053.html Would you get involved or is it too dangerous?
March 22, 200916 yr Hmm, would depend on the situation but I would like to think I would. I've never really been in a situation where I could help. Well my Dad did once in Spain, coming out of a Mercadona and some old lady had her handbag nicked and she was pushed over so he kicked off his flip flops and gave chase after the guy :D Mind you she didnt even say thank you when he returned it to her. March 22, 200916 yr I would but I'm not mature enough for it. :( And that's surprising, British people are the least likely??? :o Oh no... :(
March 22, 200916 yr No Too many people have knives and guns these days etc to make it worth the hassle Even at my age I could teach young lads a thing or 2 "on the cobbles" one on one but these days you are likely to get a bullet or a blade in you so can't be bothered If say for example I saw a dog that was locked in car on hot day with no air etc or hardly any I would put my fist through the window of the car to help the dog but I would not get involved in tackling muggings, chavs and so on for the very fact most have guns and knives these days

March 23, 200916 yr too many who have 'stepped in to help' end up getting killed. i believe the polices line now is DONT.
March 23, 200916 yr I wouldn't i would help someone drowning in a lake (not frozen, i ain't daft) given that i am a fully qualified Lifeguard.

I have seen it many a time mate I have seen muggings carried out near me or across the street, I have seen guys getting battered outside bars and so on but did I ever think about getting involved ? hell no My first responsibility is to MY family so getting a bullet put through my skull for the sake of a complete stranger is not on the agenda to me, I have given police witness statements but I would never get personally involved unless it was a member of my family that was the victim Edited March 23, 200916 yr by B.A Baracus
