March 25, 200916 yr I agree, when i saw the trailer i was a bit meh about this... Im not sure on it..
March 30, 200916 yr This film the title sponsor of one of the support races at the weekend. Doesn't look overly epic tbh
April 4, 200916 yr I have no idea what that means, but it looks pretty good to me. I'm quite a fan of 60s music though so maybe that helps.
April 5, 200916 yr I cant wait to see this! Richard Curtis  is amazing so I expect this will be- and a great cast!
April 6, 200916 yr The idea of a film concerning the late 60s pirate radio stations IS a pretty cool one, but I'm just not convinced by Richard Curtis.... I've never been a big fan of his films, "Four Weddings.." was okay, but I didn't like "Love Actually" or "Notting Hill" at all......

MID 60's m8, when radio 1 started in sept 67 it effectively finished off the pirate radio stations... :P, mind you i must admit i dont actually know when 'caroline' finished, or when this FILM was set....

April 6, 200916 yr As for the date when it's set.... IMDb is a bit vague on that one... But from what I remember of the trailer, it was set during the time when only about 1 hour of "rock" music per day was allowed to be aired on national radio.... So, I presume pre-'67 then..... This film appears to be a highly fictional account of the Radio Caroline/Veronica days, it's not about Caroline at all... I personally would much rather have preferred a fact-based film which focussed on Radio Caroline tbh.... Why make up a silly "comedy" film which totally waters down the facts, when the actual true accounts were probably a lot more interesting..... Dunno, seems a bit of a missed opportunity to me....
April 7, 200916 yr I've seen it and wasn't that impressed tbh, though only 2 out of the 10+ people who saw it with me thought like that. It's about as good as you expect it to be from the trailers, and if I'm allowed a shallow moment, Tom Sturridge is a good bit of casting <3
