Mama Do is sub-Gabriella Cimli dross. She's got a great voice but it's a dud of a lead single.

 

and 'very 2008'...Here We Go Again may be a carbon copy of Lady GaGa/Natasha Bedingfield songs but it does at least feel like a 2009 song unlike what Duffy, Gabriella, Amy etc...were doing a year or more ago

 

she has another new song on her MySpace now called My Way (I Changed) which is very old-skool R&B, sounds like an old Mariah album track from 1999, very odd, all of her songs have completely different styles, I can't imagine that the album will be very cohesive...I'm still looking forward to it though :D

I'm really suprised Aaron doesn't like Jody tbh, she's a lot like Alesha Dixon who Aaron loves and Jody's 'Just Gonna Be Me' and 'The Alesha Show' are almost identical ..

 

There is a 4 minute radio edit of Wind It though, but it's only cut one chorus and the majority of the outro, thing is it's not available for download or on youtube until the international release.. But the choruses are longer than the average songs so I don't thinks it's too long at all, and the in betweens are just too immense, for me, to be cut out. But I'm honestly not expecting to win with Inner Massiva, Quotosibb, Rivandia, Mdice all already countries giving it zero. But who knows, I'd so love to win, I mean imagine a run like this:

Hmm she doesn't remind me of Alesha at all really. She sounds a bit 'teeny' for my liking. (though I kinda like Miley) Part of the reason I don't like it is the length of it, it seems to go on for too long. I might like the 4 minute edit more if/when I hear it.

She's signed with Sony BMG at the moment, I think her contract ends with them this year though. They were pretty useless though, they only did a music video and physical release for her first single here in South Africa, 'Kiss of Life', which is also on youtube btw, it flopped, I think it made only the top 20.. Where 'Wind It' got no video and no physical but was no.1 here for weeks on end and with airplay alone, her second no.1 here after her winning South African idol song 'Love is All Around Me' got to no.1 in Leona Lewis-like style..

But she was approached by DefJam, so the albums gonna get a reworking etc and Wind It likely to be the first euro/uk single..and with what should be a Dont Stop The Music-esque music video, hopefully. .

Whaaa? I love Kiss Of Life, even better than Wind It imo. I believe the other song is actually called 'Love Is All Around' and is an Agnes Carlsson cover. :P Qutie funny seeing three idols around the world all used the same song (Agnes/Jody/Ricki-Lee)

Not a slight on the Cilmi at all. I think Pixie's Mama Do is a deliberate attempt to replicate Gabrielle C's success with Sweet About Me but it fails as the song is utterly pedestrian.

Your big advantage is with those who don't listen to full songs. I think anyone who insists on listening to every song in full will start docking marks every 30 seconds from 3 minutes onwards. The last two or so minutes is absolutely meaningless and detracts hugely.
