Well I think 3 weeks but I don't know what will knock it off. However Green Day's new single goes worldwide on 27th so they will easily do it in my opinon

Bit of news: she's due to begin promotion for PF when her US tour gets a month break (April 12, 2009). She's already been confirmed for Jonathan Ross and Paul O Grady shows. Pretty pointless now because she'll have already been number one for four weeks by the time she actually starts promoting the song. Could be number one for even longer now if these upcoming releases don't manage to knock her off the top spot.

The track is beginning to get overplayed now, I do think she will waver a bit, and Jai Ho might just sneak in, when they both go head to head on physical release, the promotion is just a little bit too late for the track. I hate long stayers at #1, 4 to 5 weeks is OK but anything after 5 weeks gets boring after awhile.

It must be hell for you Martin considering you've never actually liked the song. I am getting worried that I'll start to dislike it though because it's literally on all the time on music channels and it wouldn't be the first time that my favourite song has become one of my most hated. :(

I don't think Calvin will go anywhere near the top spot TBH.

I think Lady G will be there for 3/4 weeks.

I wouldn't like to jinx it - but I'm hoping it will be more than Umbrella.

It actually wouldn't surprise me if she managed up to 10 weeks...

I actually lover PF so much. It's amazing in every way. i hope it says at #1 foreeeeeeever.
With such a slack release schedule it is possible she could stay at the top for 8+ weeks. Tony Christie and Gnarls Barkley have demonstrated that this is a good time of year for long runners.

Do people not think Calvin Harris will do it then? I can't see her lasting more than 3 or 4 weeks really.

I hope Calvin Harris doesn't do it, I really can't see anything too special about it tbh. I guess he could sneak in a week though.

I personally reckon BEP or Eminem will do it but we'll see.

I'd rather Calvin do it rather than Eminem tbh, but I thinkshe'll be there for another week or to yet
What's the fuss about Calvin Harris? It's just a boring track without even a half decent chorus. Not a patch on "Dance With Me" ( Of course it COULD grow on me. I've only heard it twice. I reserve the right to change my opinion in a week when everyone else loves it ) ^_^

Well I suppose Kid Cudi did 72k in a week… However I think I’m Not Alone is more akin to Eric Prydz Pjanno which had two weeks at ~30k, so I suspect Calvin will do around 40-45k allowing for the higher sales at the moment.

I can’t see Eminem getting to No1 either after the length of his hiatus and if Crack A Bottle was anything to go by, top3 but no cigar.

Although there’s a charity record marking the twentieth anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster out next week, so if 60,000 Liverpool fans bought it then...

Liverpool Collective ft The Kop Choir - Fields of Anfield Road

Beside the Hillsborough flame,

I heard a Kopite mourning:

Why so many taken on that day?

Justice has never been done

But their memory, we'll carry on

There'll be glory 'round the field of Anfield Road

......will be available for download, via iTunes, on April 6.

B-sides include Elvis Costello's brilliant Turning The Town Red, an updated recording of the classic Scully TV theme tune.

Out on Monday, this reworking of the traditional Irish republican anthem that has become an anthem on the Kop really could chart anywhere as it is not a normal FA/World Cup type football song. I could just as easily imagine this peaking at UK#63; yet equally it would not surprise me to see it reaching UK#1.

Featuring Liverpool musicians:

John Power - The Las / Cast

Peter Hooton - The Farm

Nick Kilroe - Echo and the Bunnymen

James Walsh - Starsailor

Rob Taylor - Troubadours

Gary Daly and Eddie Lundon - China Crisis.

Scouser Ken Nelson, who produced Coldplay's first three hit albums as well as the likes of Badly Drawn Boy, Gomez, Howling Bells, The Charlatans, Echo & The Bunnymen, Kings Of Convenience, The Orange Lights, Ray LaMontagne, Feeder, Skin, Snow Patrol, Polly Paulusma and Paolo Nutini, produced the record.

This is a very moving tribute to the 96 who died in one of the most disgraceful cover ups in the modern history of the United Kingdom. With a host of different documentaries being shown in the next week on TV, this song will receive some major support as the likes of Kenny Dalglish; Jamie Carragher; Phil Thompson & Rafa Benitez have shot little promo soundbites in support of the record that has the backing of Liverpool FC. With the 20th Anniversary of the Hillsborough disaster being on April 15th.

4 weeks, but it will stick around in the top 5 for a while.
