The best two of the night were through I think. Gareth was the third best though, so we the public have good taste for a change!

Agreed.

I had a horrible feeling DJ No Talent would get through.

A singer only good enough for the last 24 in X-Factor IMHO gets through.

I reckon after tonight's show that 10 year old girl who finished 3rd yesterday will be crying again as she was better than Shaun.

^ Oh god lets not go that far!

At least Shaun made an excellent song choice. Choosing Jamelia was never going to do her any favours.

Definitely thisispop!

Shaun is very average and the only reason he's seen as great is because there isn't any other blokey singer similar to him in the competition.

Public chose the best top 3, though i prefered Gareth to Shaun.

Had a horrible feeling DJ Talent would go through. He was awful, and so were the others.

The only reason i believe Shaun got through is that Simon and BGT have lead the public to believe that he is really good, then Simon wonders how the wrong people do well on X Factor and it's all his fault.

Shaun and Gareth in the dressing room together, i'd like to see that ahah, them gettin it on methinks lol.

But seriously so many of last night were much better than all of tonight's acts, who is on tomorrow?

I'm so dreaming about that dressing room tonight :heehee:

That is so sad but it is true. It does seem there are a lot of people out there (and here on BJ) who, because Simon Says they're 'brilliant' believe that certain acts are 'brilliant'. Shaun was just very average tonight ... nothing more nothing less. I honestly didn't think Susan Boyle's performance last night was anything better than 'good' yet Simon made it out that we were listening to a female 'Great Caruso' or something.

And I digress here, but I wonder if Sue Son has made up with her 'bezzie mate' yet?

Norma

I thought tonight's was horribly predictable. Flawless absolutely deserved to get through, but really Merlin and Gareth were both MILES better than Shaun. We've seen it ALL before I think, but just because he's relatively attractive and has some sort of appeal the public lapped it up. YAWN.

Agree completely.

Mehhh. So much "variety" eh? Two singers and two dance groups through. I agree with Norma, Susan Boyle wasn't exactly Edith Piaf and Shaun was pretty much MOR. I thought the ventriloquist was amazing!

your definitely not the only one, haha

Shaun = fit. :wub:

The U2 cover wasn't bad either.

DJ Talent - A hit single on the way? Pleasantly surprised he wasn’t in the top three.

Merlin - what was the point of the assistant? As a two-minute act it just didn’t really engage the audience.

Hot Honeyz - why were they in the semi final? Average rejects.

Jamie Pugh - sub prime Paul Potts; the shaking throughout the performance was most disconcerting. Now here is someone that really does lack the likeability factor.

Peter Coghlan - the lazy fool should get to the frickin gym and stop dancing around in drag until he’s lost that hideously offensive flab.

Gareth Oliver - perhaps his talent was lost to cynicism; at first I thought he was miming to the tape, then I realised his Adams apple going into overdrive.

Flawless - not quite but almost there was a little mistake with the landing at the end, but by far the best act on the night.

Shaun = fit. :wub:

DJ Talent - ...also pleasantly surprised he didn't make top 3...I think the only reason he made it this far is because Simon saw £ signs before him

Shaun - awful attempt at meshing some kind of pseudo-opera with rock. Good song choice, but appalling arrangement.

Merlin - "could've died"...but he escaped far too quickly, which ruined the whole thing!

Hot Honeyz - as one of the judges said...more like lukewarm honeyz tonight

Jamie Pugh - dreadful start, got a little better and a great end...but the poor start cost him dearly

Peter - shouldn't have been in the semis, surprised me by starting well, but it just didn't go anywhere after that

Gareth - superb...first time I can remember disagreeing with Simon Cowell's comments...he was completely wrong

Flawless - definitely not living up to their name. I preferred Diversity in the auditions...and moreso now

Wasn't that impressed with the talent tonight, I must say

01. Gareth - LOVE ventriloqism. I don't think the act was as funny as it could have been but the talent involved in singing THAT WELL (better than Jamie!) through a dummy - wow!

02. Merlin - I actually was on the edge of my seat with the tense nature of it all - agreed with Amanda that the rope didn't appear to be burning too quickly and because it was burning through the rope rather than down towards him maybe it had less impact?

03. Shaun - A good performance but not a brilliant one - he could have hit bigger and better notes for me

04. Flawless - Clearly they are good and tight but this had nothing on the intelligence and innovativeness of Diversity for me..

05. DJ Talent - Awful but funny awful.. love how even Simon was joining in for the 'Cowell'!

06. Hot Honeyz - I actually thought they were quite good but rank this low because essentially it's not as niche and difficult as what Flawless and co do.

07. Jamie - I knew he wasn't going to win - wasn't sure that he wouldn't be top 3 but after that awful performance he didn't deserve it - very glad with that one, just poor.

08. Drag Queen - Just plain bad. I remember really liking the drag queen last year...

Great showing from Escala too.

I really honestly thought Shaun had this in the bag - was surprised to see Flawless top the votes.. I just hope that because it's Susan Boyle that's the only reason Diversity didn't.

And I hoped Amanda would go with Piers and make the final one of variety... at the moment we've two singers and two dance troupes... a ventriloquist would have been amazing!

Just because Flawless won doesn't mean they got more votes than Diversity or even Natalie.
Shaun was incredible last night, I had a dream about him and Gareth in the dressing room. :kink:

Did Gareth make Shaun open and close his mouth? :kink:

Anyone know who's on tonight BTW?
