Right, open question for past hosts. Is there an easy to way prep the running leaderboard for the final results? I guess it could work by revealing the votes in the order you receive them and preparing the board after you get each set of votes, but I don't think I want to reveal them in that order.

Me too, the mp3 version is the album version, I've been listening to that. I haven't heard the video version but Jonjo told me it cuts out one of the best bits.

It kind of does, but mostly the outro. But the way the video version ends is a bit lame. Plus there are some extra shouts that seem kind of out of place, and jarring in quite a sweet song...

not really, I waited until I received all the votes before making it but I copied and pasted everyone's votes into notepad so that i had them in text form ready to be reordered when i decided on the voting order.

I decided the order before doing the prep, and then sat there for hours and fully prepared all of the results and updated scoreboards on Microsoft Word (for BJSCVIII anyway). For V I did no prep and it was all a bit of a rush job...I wish I knew of an easier quicker way that I could recommend

Did you see how long I took to announce the qualifiers? Doing that would take about three days. :heehee:

Yeah, I've already worked out my order, I think it's the same one that I used last time. (first person from semi 2, first person from semi 1, second person from semi 2 etc. with the three auto-qualifiers tacked on at the end) I'm beginning to wonder if I should close voting on earlier (say 11am on Sunday - just before I get up) to give me more time to prep on Sunday. 4 hours might not be enough...

On a separate note, 18 voters in and we still have two on 0 points. :o I expect it wont be long until they get points but I didn't expect it this a third of the way in.

If you do find it easier and quicker during the results you could always reveal two votes at a time to speed things up a bit the endless copying and pasting can get tiresome after you've spent all day typing it :s

Ooh! I think this could be a good idea. Cuts 51 votes down to 26 posts which would be...more normal. Still think I should close voting a little earlier if possible. I just hope everyone else thinks it's a good idea.

oh dear :o I hope it's not two of the auto-qualifiers but I suppose they would be most likely to score nul points due to know established supporters from the semis :snif:

well I know ten songs that definitely aren't on nul points :kink: that leaves 19 that could be :drama:

:kink: i also know 10 no nil points songs.

Yes. I kinda like all the fancy votes...apart from when I'm going crazy trying to verify them. That's when you appreciate the people who just post their 12-1 points and nothing else.

Heh, sorry :heehee:

Voted.

My top 3 surprised me. But they were immense. A tough one this time.

Inner Massivia have now voted, and a bit more promptly than we did in the semi-final.

The voting panel, chaired by guest juror Stevie Wonder, met in the Chart Club in the Alt Markt, Attacktonia tonight for a lively listening party that lasted four hours.

The Inner Massivia Press Association News (IMPAN) reported Stevie as saying:

"The Inner Massivia jurors thoroughly enjoyed the selection of songs put forward this contest. There were less duffers than usual, fewer cheap entries, and a refreshingly broad range of musical styles to judge compared to the overly biased finals of the last two months which seemed flooded with hard to diffirentiate sub-Eurodiscopop.

Our votes have been transmitted to the BJSC XV headquarters in Quotosibb using encrypted satellite. A full compliment of guests, including our entrant the fragrant Little Boots, the President of Inner Massivia Professor Sir Quintas de Cancellara, myself and all the other jurors will be flying in on Saturday in preparation for Sunday's Final."

i tried to help with that by bolding all the artist/song titles :heehee:

They always looked fun and i was in full procrastination mode.

I'm really surprised, a song in my semi got 0 points, but now in the final, it got 5pts. I've really grown on it.
