April 22, 200916 yr Even though I'm tired of the whole 60s vibe thing, I really liked the song. Should definitely be her breakthrough hit i'd imagine, really catchy stuff I'd agree. Though two points I think she isn't *that* 60s (based on current material anyway) and also it's refreshing to see someone push for the big time that ISN'T electro-popish.

Beyonce's gain, as usual. Shontelle's new song is AWFUL, she should've released Battle Cry - a duet with Akon is vile, I almost thought she was Akon in the first verse she sounded so MANLY at point in that first verse, enough to fall off your chair laughing. Scary. Shontelle. Scary. Should flop anyway so no issues there..

April 22, 200916 yr She's a burlesque/bluesy sort of artist. She did lots of burlesque stuff before she got signed to Epic last spring. Lots of money seems to be going into her, she's working with Greg Kurstin atm in LA... Well I'd describe her as an Amanda Palmer wannabe on helium. With a token quirky video ubiquetously directed by Sophie Muller to match. I like it, but it is about as manufactured as Pixie Lott IMHO. But what do you expect me to say about another stage school type with an MA in Time Based Arts. April 22, 200916 yr Thrilled that they dropped Poker Face. Perhaps they decided to drop it after her horrible Live Lounge performance. But I'm sure they'll still play it, just as they won't let go of that awful Kelly Clarkson song. Both of those songs have quick burn factors, just like Don't Upset The Rhythm, but I still love that though. They should still be playing Embers and Tonight's Today in my opinion. Those were dropped too quickly.
