It's nice to see that she's got something more catchy, less Winehouse-inspired for her debut single. I can't decide if it'll bomb because it's slightly last year or if it'll stand out against all the electro this year and do well.

It's a little bit too long for me and I think it might work a bit better if they used the whole chorus rather than that one line through most of it. Then again, these extended remixes have never been my sort of thing, I like radio edits of remixes a lot but these disjointed ones do nothing for me.

Her hair at the caption of the video above looks like the girl from La Roux. :P

I'm very disappointed by this. It sounds like it was written and recorded for the charts not written from the heart.

 

Too contrived for my liking, it comes across as Simon Cowell's idea of quirky female/songwriter. A shame as I like her voice a lot.

Great song! It's all over radio (or so it seems). I love the country-lite production on the verses too.

 

She was on Switch on Radio 1 tonight. She seems like a right laugh! I love anybody who incorportates over-the-top accents into conversation. Her 'dull record label man' voice is genius.

That said, she's about as indie as Duffy :nocheer: Love the song though!
