April 22, 200916 yr A video might be handy next time: 29zumqpqFLM It's nice to see that she's got something more catchy, less Winehouse-inspired for her debut single. I can't decide if it'll bomb because it's slightly last year or if it'll stand out against all the electro this year and do well. edit: Just seen it's already on the Radio 1 playlist. Should be the latter then. :o
May 3, 200916 yr Amazing song  Just so catchy and imo, much better than both Adele & Duffy's debut efforts. I really hope she has a big hit with this! :D
May 3, 200916 yr Really not seeing the fuss with this at all  It just does nothing for me... Should do well though seeing as it's getting quite a bit of TV airplay and Radio 1 are backing...

May 6, 200916 yr Having heard the second single, this woman is going to sell a srs number of album units What's it called? Is it "New York"? :o Here's the Cicada Remix of "Stone Cold Sober": WtWcSAq3v5k It's a little bit too long for me and I think it might work a bit better if they used the whole chorus rather than that one line through most of it. Then again, these extended remixes have never been my sort of thing, I like radio edits of remixes a lot but these disjointed ones do nothing for me.
May 7, 200916 yr I'm very disappointed by this. It sounds like it was written and recorded for the charts not written from the heart. Too contrived for my liking, it comes across as Simon Cowell's idea of quirky female/songwriter. A shame as I like her voice a lot. :(
May 8, 200916 yr In love with this song atm. Interesting fact here, she played Andrea the goth in St Trinians. Assuming it's the same Paloma Faith, it's hardly a common name is it.
May 10, 200916 yr Good song: very catchy chorus too! She's more Joss Stone in her vocal stylings than Duffy.
May 31, 200916 yr Great song! It's all over radio (or so it seems). I love the country-lite production on the verses too. She was on Switch on Radio 1 tonight. She seems like a right laugh! I love anybody who incorportates over-the-top accents into conversation. Her 'dull record label man' voice is genius.
June 1, 200916 yr Oh I have to hear that  That said, she's about as indie as Duffy :nocheer: Love the song though!
