i think they'll release 4 after the album. 7 singles for Sweet 7 :heehee:

There will be more than 1 after the album I should think.

IMO they should have pushed it back when quiche was still in the group, take a break from each other and come back.

I'd consider the push back a good move if it wasn't for the single... Wear My Kiss is really forgettable and NOT single material. Once amelle comes out of her mental insanity or whatever she has has they should get back into the studio and record a proper single worthy of launching an album and change the album title cos including the 7 on there is just ridiculous.

This is so disappointing. It messes up the entire cycle as well. Now we will have to wait til early in the year for a new Sugababes album, EVERY single time.
Boo this better not be true, especially the Wear My Kiss part.
What do you mean every single time. This will be the first time.
Album sales will be low then though, they'd sell so much more in November on the back of About A Girl.

Great idea pushing it back imo, but releasing 'Wear My Kiss'?

:puke2:

Pretty sure. I really does sound like it.

The album credits will tell us for sure.

I suppose it sounds slightly like it on the verses and it's a much more subtle sample if it is that song.

It's the chorus I felt I recognised most though, but I've been thinking about it a lot and I can only think of CeCe Peniston - Finally. The only things I find similar between them is the chorus being a long sentence with a similar melody. But I think that's more of a coincidence than anything intentional.

The album being pushed back is a sensible idea to me, they need to see if their next single is as popular now they've got Jade. I don't think I'd be willing to launch an album before breaking in Jade properly, so to speak.

It was different with Heidi, they had a new label and they were known, but not properly established at the time. Then Amelle got in on the re-release and recorded two singles from that era before diving into "Change". Replacing Keisha is an extra tough job with her being the only original who was left. I know they only got their first Platinum album when Heidi joined (I refuse to say 'got big') but I think the media are making sure the public know that there was a 'before Heidi' in case they forgot so everyone's even more cynical now.

Why have they pushed it back?

The smart thing would have been to release it at the end of November/early December to cash in on Christmas sales.

Definitely the right move moving the album back (especially with Amelle's current state of mind), otherwise I fear it would have debuted at #6/7 then fall down the album chart as quick as the second Saturdays album (due to the Christmas rush).

This way they will have a much clearer run as a new release with record buyers looking to use up their Xmas music vouchers, and maybe build some career momentum for the Sugababes v4.0 with an album that will hang around the charts for a good few months and possibly release a number of singles from it (maybe 7 ).

It also gives them time to come up with 2/3 extra tracks that were never recorded with Keisha for the album.

I agree completely with that statement.

 Okay I now agree with the album push back  ^_^

What's the logic in this delay? Are they aware that we've already heard eight of the eleven tracks on the album?

6 tracks on the sampler, plus No More You live performances, and the demo of Little Miss Perfect on youtube.

They should be recording at least 3-4 additional tracks for the album. It's not like they don't have the time to do it. But knowing this band, they probably won't.

I love this group, I really do. The music has always been exceptional in my opinion, but it is just all disappointments isn't it? It's starting to test me as a fan.

But life goes on, eh?

This is a funny era...could only happen to the Sugababes!! Betya this will be there last album!

Nah, I think they'll have some success with this one, record a new one and then that'll be it.

I said this in an earlier post, but it will be very interesting to see how their next album pans out because Keisha seemed to be the creative/driving force behind the group.

Yes that's why she has so many writing credits on Sweet 7.
