Jesus, with all these personnel involved, it's not exactly gonna be a "Diana Vickers" solo album is it....?

I mean, wasn't she supposed to be the one who was all "singer/songwritery"....?

No, the one all "singer/songwritery" is Austin. And that's why I like this guy. Great musical taste, pretty good guitarist and great voice

Ruth was my second fave so I'm glad she is signed and I'm pleased with her musical route :)

For all you guys bashing Diana Vickers you do realise that she did not sign with Syco; signing instead with Epic and has been working on her album with Amanda Ghost (only the President of the Record label) along with Ian Dench, former guitarist of EMF who have (co)-written James Blunt’s “You're Beautiful”; "Beautiful Liar" by Beyoncé and Shakira; and Jordin Sparks' debut single Tattoo amongst their songwriting credits.

Also singer songwriters Nerina Pallot & Lucie Silvas have been drafted in to help out on the album with material.

Hence leaving a distinct possibility that a Syco inspired Eoghan Quigg nightmare cheap & tacky album scenario may not actually occur; and hell potentially it might actually be quite good.

Epic is a fantastic label! But I don't rate Diana much..

How could it be good? She can't sing, end.

Ruth, on the other hand, is a wonderful talent, and away from SyCo she has real potential.

Apparently she's working with Steve Tyler, Carlos Santana and Slash :D

Probably not true, but if it is, this is going to be a bloody good album

She was voted off wayy too early in the competition, she should have been in the final (should have won tbh!)
i 100% agree and had she come from england nad had a region behing her she would have done so well,,eoghan got loads and probbaly most of his votes from northern ireland ruth had no region behind her at all so the votes she got were all on merit and not on because where you came from.
WOA. :o I hope that is true!!!

& apparently it is!

Although I'd still rather (as bad as it sounds) listen to a Ruth album full of covers rather than original recordings.

I agree TBH. Covers in Spanish :kink:

Not that simon would allow it but wouldnt it be great if ruth could perform her debut single on x factor wouldnt it be great promo,,if she had a record deal with simon he would let her but i doubt it now that she isnt signed to him
I think she might as Faryl Smith got to perform on BGT this year even though she's not signed by Simon.
