Oof GaGa looks great there.

And what happened to 'Love Game'? I thought that would be 3rd? Ah well, I prefer Eh Eh tbh.

This is the 3rd in Australia. Love Game is third in US and Canada.

This is cheesy bile and spoils the album, it's also somewhat at odds with her general image/style. I fully expect a tacky video to match this equally tacky Venga-esque track.
I can't say I can see the similarities other than "The Venga bus is coming" having the same amount of syllables as "Don't want no paper gangsta" though that song was a hit in the USA so maybe it did inspire her, I guess you could almost sing along the chorus of 'Paper Gangsta' to the Vengboys..

yep, that bit is what I meant :P

Well done for noticing it, "Paper Gangsta" is a bit slow compared to that song so I would have never thought to connect the two. Now it sounds like a tacky mash up waiting to happen.

oh, I didn't mean to ruin your love for the song :heehee:

I hope a mash up doesn't surface :o

Who said the Vengaboys would ruin it? Gotta love a bit of nostalgia, who can forget such classics as "We're Going To Eat Pizza"? :heehee: You have to admit they're kinda tacky now though. I wouldn't expect a mash up, I doubt many others have realised. Though if there was an acapella version and an instrumental of the songs out there I'd be tempted to see what it sounds like using my very limited Audacity skills.

Just got offered tickets for Sound. GaGa is gonna be on :( Wish i could go!

considering my love for cheesy pop, I was never overly fond of the Vengaboys, although Boom, Boom, Boom, Boom was a classic...I could tolerate all of their singles though...the only one I truly loved was the ballad Forever As One

I think I liked all of their singles apart from their debut but I haven't listened to them for years, I listened to "We Like To Party" the other day to compare it to "Paper Gangsta" but that's it. I think some childhood favourites need to be kept in the past more than others.

they're certainly not an act that I rush back to listen to, but I wouldn't snub them if they came on at a party or something

Same, I figure that if I liked it at some point in my life I'' always have a soft spot for them even if I don't listen to them. Lolly is one of my only exceptions, I loved "Mickey" and "Viva La Radio" but they're quite awful looking back.

Anyway...the album is at #4 in the midweeks, higher than last weeks #1. ^_^

GaGa and Ne-Yo OR N-Dubz and Reggie Yates. Hard one there

idk...I enjoyed Gaga alot more before everyone was whoring her up.

=(

Also the fact that I have been jamming out to her songs since Summer 2008, and now everybody is acting like its all BRAND NEW. No hate, just saying.

I can see where your coming from..

I'm finding it very strange now people not saying "Ooh who is that your listening to??"

Doesn't feel like like a rather unique group now - even though it really wasn't I know! ^_^

Mind you my GaGa love is as strong as ever! At the end of the day the main fangroup will still be here when things are quiet again!

I'm just waiting for when Untouched inevitably makes it over here and people say 'have you heard of that new Australian band The Veronicas?'

having been following them for almost 4 years, I think that will annoy me :heehee:
