June 24, 200619 yr I always had the feeling that Hips would be a slow burner, like From Paris To Berlin. She might even be # 1 in the future... But, after all, what´s so great on that? I´m appaled that some people would buy one CD or download a song that they ALREADY HAVE just to help the chart position of the artist... That´s like making charity to a millionaire, and it´s stupid because 1 or 2 copies won´t make any difference in the total, it´s just waste of money, don´t be so dumb, if you don´t know what to do with it just give it to charity, there are people starving and you wasting money to buy something you already have...
June 24, 200619 yr Hopefully Madonna can make no. 9 or 10 by sunday!. If it was a studio album man she'd be no.1 lol. I guess a lot of people have got the dvd version of this tho.

That´s like making charity to a millionaire, and it´s stupid because 1 or 2 copies won´t make any difference in the total, it´s just waste of money, don´t be so dumb, if you don´t know what to do with it just give it to charity, there are people starving and you wasting money to buy something you already have... the reason why shakira fans seem to be passionate about her in the UK is cause this is her toughest market, shakira gets number 1 easily in every other country apart from here and there are a few reasons for this....the UK isn't accepting of artists that aren't from the UK/North America/Canada just look at radio 1 still ignoring 'hips don't lie' not playing the last 3 single releases from shakira, so what she is from colombia and english is her second language she is a grade A artist the biggest global female artist to emerge this decade, its impressive to see on OF2 that she can write all her songs in english as well as spanish and that they are critically well received by the media such as Q magazine/guardian newspaper record companies don't really make their money from cd singles the sales are so low they barely break even cause they spend so much on promotion also what if i was to buy the cd single again and then recycle it by giving it to oxfam?? i would be doing my bit for charity
