OLD. I really don't like this song, took AGES to grow and faded quickly. Not worthy to be a Britney single in the slightest.

I believe Jive are releasing it due to a contractual obligation. 'Radar' was supposed to be the forth single from 'Blackout' and all the legalwork was done for it etc but they went and released a new record instead, rather than pay to get out of that contract they're putting the money into releasing the track. I don't mind having it as a single tbh.

Yes it's an old song but it's the type of song that will do well. It will outpeak If U Seek Amy. Watch this space.

Ok Radar is a GREAT song, and I love it. I'm sure it will do great. Probably top 10 in the US and maybe the UK. But at the same time it's from Blackout and there are songs on Circus that should and need to be released.

I thought that the reason they included it on Circus was kind of compensation for not having it as a single though?

Seems a bit stupid to release it as a single NOW, they should've either released it at the end of the Blackout era OR just included it on Circus.

I won't lie, Radar will probably has a bigger chance at being a hit then anything else on the album (minus 70% of the bonus tracks :angry: ) But at the same time, it's not from this album.

 

Jive has already said it was an obligation to B&A, but still.

I'm just confused as to who is supposed to be buying this? It already entered charts on downloads, and has been on 2 albums ... presumably everyone who wants it, has it? The only potential audiences are random people who like it, and that does not a hit single make...

I don't get why they couldn't just release Unusual You instead though, another Bloodshy & Avant track. :lol:

I just dont want a tour video its my all-time favourite Britney song, how it charts doesn't bother me because its already done well for a non-single, already sold over a quarter of a million in the US and charted in numourous countries.

Yeah, I still can't believe it managed to peak at #8 in Sweden last year, out peaking Break The Ice and If U Seek Amy, and it wasn't even officially released. :mellow:

It's probably going to chart Top 10 in Ireland, and most likely Top 15 in the US and UK. I hope she has time to shoot a video, I don't want a tour video. But, everyone is right, Radar is a great song, but it's from Blackout, and songs from Circus need to be released. :mellow:

I think its a great song...but agree...its a Blackout Song...but maybe this will shift a few more Copies of blackout!!

I think people will want to see a bit of diversity from Britney and 'Radar' really does not showcase it at all. Her last proper ballad was 'Everytime' and that was back in 2004. :mellow: She needs different songs if her management want her to gain more fans to her fanbase.

 

I'm pretty damn sure that 'Unusual You' would've gone Top 10 too, I could see it getting alot of praise and having an amazing video too. Wasted opportunity much?! -_-

I totally agree with this, it really is time for a ballad or something along those lines (Unusual You). I love her upbeat songs (including Radar) but like you say she needs to show a bit of variation and show a different side to her voice etc

Kinda gone off this now - still like it, but don't appreciate it as much as I did when I first heard it - shoulda been released as the 2nd single IMO
