Posted May 7, 200916 yr Just noticed this on the release schedule for 25th May. Is this the same Sonia who sang "You'll never stop me loving you"? Is she doing an album too? Any information about the single would be appreciated.
May 7, 200916 yr Ah a return of a childhood fave! Everyone loves a bit of the ginger scouser! Edited May 7, 200916 yr by ScottyEm
May 7, 200916 yr I haven't heard the song yet, but i always liked sonia and would love to see her do well again although she will probably be lucky to see the top 75 unless she can get huge promo. i was so disappointed by the greatest hits package that came out for sonia a while back it has none of her stock aitken and waterman songs on it, it was kinda pointless releasing her greatest hits without all her biggest hits.
May 8, 200916 yr omg... NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO the vilest, most untalented waste of space EVER to grace our charts. she makes the saturdays look like musical geniuses in comparison. ... tbh i prefer mariah, celine or janet and i detest those bints but at least they can sing.
May 8, 200916 yr OMFG, the original Ginger Minger is back.......   Just WHY is it that every Tragic 80s Casualty in the world is making a comeback..... Do they think they can ALL be Depeche Mode or Duran Duran....?
May 8, 200916 yr ...or maybe they just enjoy making music. ....... shes NEVER made music, she was at best a third rate karaoke product courtesy of watertwat
May 8, 200916 yr This again. If this girl wants to sing a bloody song and she's found someone who'll put it on iTunes, good for her!
May 8, 200916 yr ....... shes NEVER made music, she was at best a third rate karaoke product courtesy of watertwat  Couldn't have put it better myself..... Sonia was just another two-bit actress jobbing around on "comedies" such as Bread and one or two other things... Then Pete the Puppet-Master came along... She had an incredibly short-lived "career", it really didn't take long for people to cotton onto the fact that she was just utterly fukkin' USELESS..... Not even close to being Kylie standard.... Then, in the wilderness for absolutely years, and now suddenly 're-discovered', no doubt, by a bunch of clueless G.A.Y. refugees who probably think that Sonia is SOOOOOOOOOO "Kitsch", and "Post-modern" and "Ironic" or whatever.... I'm sorry, but the amount of utter and total SH!T that has been done in the name of "kitsch, camp, post-modern irony" is absolutely unbelievable.... The revival of Sonia is a crime against decent Pop Music.....

May 8, 200916 yr Author Heard the track and dont think much to it to be honest. They are releasing it to celebrate 20 years since she hit no1 with her first single.
May 9, 200916 yr id much rather use her for 'sport' then the saturdays, as i HATE sonia. Frankly, I'd rather listen to The Sats album 100 times than listen to that grating, irritating, scouse ginger bint even ONCE......
May 9, 200916 yr Funny that this thread went from positive to negatuve. Those of us who are old enough to remember the 80s, unfortunately remember the terminally useless Sonia..... The 80s Nostalgia stuff that exists now unfortunately means that barrel-scraping bottom feeders like Sonia are horning in on the "revival act" as well..... If you guys watch "Ashes to Ashes", the music they play on that is pretty much examples of the very best of the 80s, god help us if the series continues to include '87 or '88.......
May 9, 200916 yr Sonia's was the first album I ever bought, so she brings back great memories for me! The new song sounds pretty decent too, I'll probably download it to hear it in full.
May 9, 200916 yr Sonia's was the first album I ever bought, so she brings back great memories for me! GOD, I never thought you were that old...... :o I'd assumed you were some teenage Saturdays fan......
May 9, 200916 yr OH GOD STOP THE SAW BASHING :manson: It's OK in the Retro forum, but considering what a debit modern pop owes to Stock Aitken Waterman and that era of music, it's just inappropiate here.
