Where on earth is Marina's single getting airplay as it is not on Radio 1's; Radio 2's Radio 6 Music; Absolute or XFM playlist? :wacko:

 

Especially as the version used in this contest is the demo version; and there is not even a video for it yet.

Yeah I'm not saying it's becuase they're cheap entries for example I heard The Gossip's new single on the forum one day then later that day Edith was playing it on R1 for the first time, similarly with Florence and Booty Luv.

Indeed I was expecting it to get some radio play when I enterred it but haven't heard it yet. I think it's my cheapest entry for a jolly long time but I think the fact that it's not got mass appeal makes it OK.

My sister was listening to my iTunes the other day and picked it out as one she liked (along with a couple of other BJ songs) so it has potential to be liked by civilians... i hope.

 

For sure it's a shame she isn't more high-profile but she hasn't always been outstanding in her music.

Heartbeat was surely outstanding enough to at least be a top 40 hit :cry: her recent unreleased album was nothing short of stunning either, I'm surprised more songs haven't been used from it actually, Bad Times for example would be a great entry :wub:

Heartbeat did receive a fair it of video promotion so I'm not 100% sure why it didn't do better *memory fade* but yeah you never know, if Annie can go top 15 next week maybe more of Annie's back catalogue will be enterred ^_^

I don't recall it getting any/much radio airplay...the only way I knew about it was the old Digital TV Channel 'B4' which played the song rather a lot ^_^

Didn't Kid Cudi go top 2? He's absolutely huge over here, nonetheless...

I reckon Kid Cudi will probably be a one hit wonder here...the BBC list is supposed to reflect the entire year as opposed to just the first few months though so I reckon at the very least, Little Boots and Florence will be big here...VV needs to get radio support to get a hit, she might just be another Annie otherwise, White Lies had a No.1 album...the other acts I can't see being big this year at all...

 

Empire Of The Sun seemed to have slipped massively and undeservedly under the radar with their album and singles failing to have much impact at all :(

Yeah, Day N Nite was held off by Lady GaGa...Little Boots is about to release her first single (although watch that DIE for reasons that aren't at all her fault :(), White Lies have had a number one album, Florence and the Machine's releasing her album soon, Empire of the Sun kinda flopped for reasons I'm not quite sure on, VV Brown's about to release Shark In The Water, Passion Pit were probably never going to get big anyway, and if they do it'll be in a MGMT-kinda way, and Dan Black should throw himself off a cliff onto sharp rocks.
