Well.. this have been a long day, from waking up on the beach with sunburn and tried desperatly to find water  to winning Eurovision Song Contest 2009 ^_^

Well.. I find my bed, and THANK YOU UK for 10 points and THANK you Europe for amazing 387 points!

enjoy all the celebrations that go with winning the eurovision im sure it will be a great week in norway and for everyone else thats it for another year  and hopefully next year Ireland will be part of the final and go on to win!! a man can dream!!!
Jade did great but you could tell she was nervous and wasn't hitting the notes as well as she has in the past (eg whilst touring the song around europe) but still a better singer than anybody else in the contest! When that violin bow?? hit her in the mouth you could see that it made her even more nervous and put her off abit but unlike most singers, she managed a flawless recovery =] Wish she won, but tbf norway, iceland and azerbaijan were great, so if she had been 1st/2nd/3rd/4th i wouldn't have minded but turkey being ahead of her was just wrong.. what was the UK thinking giving her all those points!!!

Just come back from da pub.

Saw results. Well impressed. The Top 6 is close to perfect. Norway runaway winner with a song so instant = the 2nd greatest song this nation has produced behind Take On Me IMHO.

Delighted for Iceland 2nd = well deserved. 3rd Azerbaijan = well deserved. 4th = Turkey fair enough, not the greatest vocals, but a catchy tune. But Jade = 5th = An excellent result, after being hit in the mouth by a violinist. To think Simon Cowell wanted her for 2008 X Factor because of her bacjground and especially her family sob story ... She pisses on the winner of X-Factor 2008 IMHO. So fair play to her aligning herself to the vastly more talented Sir ALW and not to the "Satan of Music" Simon Cowell & PR devil Max Clifford.

I hope the single and album are a huge success. She deserves it.

All in all the Top 6 result puts to shame every X-Factor series & IMHO BJSC contest as the Top 6 Result was close to perfect IMHO.

As for Eurovision haters .... f*** You, you and the Xenophobic Terry Wogan deserve each other, as this result proves send something half decent = get a good result. Send a Pile a manure (i.e. UK 2003 - 2008 entries) = get a sh!t result. Hardly rocket science is it.

Whilst a huge appreciation should go to the brilliant job that Graham Norton did tonight as UK host = puts that Xenophobic Wig O'Weaver Terry Wogan to disgrace. He was brilliant tonight

Terry Wogan and Andy Abrahams (who also claimed our entry this year was not as good as his pile of musical excrement last year was better :rofl) can go and f*** themselves for reckoning our entry was worse than last year's entry = a pair of bitter r*t**** IMHO.

Goodnight and thank you.

It's 9.44am, time for bed me thinks,.

It's a fair wack after my bed time.

Night :kink:

Quite right, tip!

and goodnight every who's going to bed at 7am local time  You are heroes!

You are indeed! As for me, I'm half-watching Britains Got Talent :kink:
Hand up who thinks Thisispop should post while drunk more often!

A big hand from me :cheer:

And goodnight all, I need my sleep now.

I do not like the winning song at all TBH but congratulations to him, I gather he wrote it himself.

Some quality talent on the show tonight my fav was ESTONIA. Absolutely stunning performance and great song as well. Im totally gonna check out their music online. Really enjoyed Portugal, such a happy sounding track! I hope more bands sing in their native tongue.

On to Oslo then!

my thoughts on the show; absolutely amazing, the best I've ever seen, Russia did a stunning job despite my reservations and Graham Norton was fantastic commentating, so much better than Terry Wogan

the results were near perfection, Norway were always amazing from day one and I'm ecstatic for them...Iceland, incredible, vocally flawless, it's a song that's only majorly grown on me in the past week or two but it so deserved second place and their best result since Selma!

Azerbaijan and Turkey, fair enough, great performances of good songs, especially Azerbaijan which was very strong. And excellent for UK and France finally returning to the top ten after putting some notable effort in! More classy songs in the future please UK, let's get back to what we're known for; high standard, outstanding and well performed songs, not comedy performances of dire songs...The ironic thing about the whole contest was that I initially thought that it was the worst standard of songs for years, but luckily, most of the absolute standout songs all did the best in the voting whilst all of the rubbish flopped in the semis...Now that all of the songs have grown on me properly, I would actually say that the standard and results eclipse that of everything since 2001 :o

Can't wait to see Norway host it next year, I hope Maria Haukaas Storeng gets the job!

oh, and comiserations to Sweden but I suspected they'd flop, surprised that they came 4th in the semis

judging by the fact that quality songs are doing well this year, maybe they should have sent Caroline Af Ugglas after all!?! Nice to see Sarah Dawn Finer getting to read/sing the Swedish votes too!

semi final 2 -

1 - Norway - 201

2 - Azerbaijan - 180

Norway beat Azerbaijan by just 21 points in the semi-final. Doesn't this suggest that Norway's landslide victory in the final was due to the juries?

graham norton did a good job?.....

pity he didnt stay in character, HIS character, instead of trying to out wogan, terry wogan. it was like he was doing a total impersonation, he was far more like wogan then hinself...
