I think Remixes is the only option there with potential. I don't think I want to listen to 30 odd foreign songs and I doubt many people would be very excited about hearing 30 Eurovision songs. I mean, they'll all have their fans but I expect it's the one with least negative points against it.

Remixes. Let's be DIFFERENT for once. Nobody ever enters remixes, we've had plenty of foreign songs.

Exactly! Okay, I just finished 4th with an 'electro edit' but that's one remix in the top 10 compared to, like, eight foreign language songs. It seems a bit of a pointless theme when they've done ALRIGHT in the past, enough times so that it wasn't a fluke.

Agreed. Who decided the themes? They're a bit narrow. Cover songs or songs which sample other songs from the same decade could've been fun.
To be honest, I didn't care much for the last spin off, if I did enter the spin off, I wouldn't be bothered if I came last in it, so I might as well not bother with it, it seem pointless me entering a spin off, if I'm going to come last, or 5th from last.

Including myself that's -3 to Eurovision and +3 to Remixes?

Tom and I decided the three themes based on what appeared to be the most popular when the discussion was going on.

These theme's seem SO uninspired to me :(

No thought would be needed for any of these themes, I can think of multiple entries for each from the top of my head. I'd like a CHALLENGE please :(.

B-Sides, Covers, Instrumentals, Sampling... would all be really good :(

and nothing to say that all ESC lovers would go for that option anyway :P I don't want an ESC spin-off really, it would introduce me to nothing

Totally! I love ESC but what I love about BJSC is discovering new music. Although foreign language entries have done ok in the past the stigma against them puts people off entering them which isn't fair. Then again, an ESC spinoff would allow us to enter music not usually entered. Remixes would be boring, because people would just send the usual suspects (sorry Jonjo, but your Candlelight Mixes comment says it all).

I voted foreign

Oooh, I quite like some of those! ;)

I voted for foreign language although remixes would be a good choice too. I don't follow Eurovision at all...

Foreign Language.

Remixes would be such a complete mood kill.. There's absolutely no fun it. There's like five million remixes out there in comparison to like 2 and half million foreign songs, I mean Remixes would be like a filler where Foreign Language would be so much more exciting - you'd have to go through plenty trouble to find the perfect entry where with Remixes it's the exact opposite..

Foreign languages please, there are some great remixes, but that theme just doesn't interest me like forgein does.

There's far more foreign language songs than remixes...

Unknown tracks have remixes as well.

I have at least 15 Red Blooded Women remixes.

I voted remixes  but now I want foreign :(
Voted for Remixes (but I'll be happy with the foreign language spin off too :D)
