These theme's seem SO uninspired to me :(

 

No thought would be needed for any of these themes, I can think of multiple entries for each from the top of my head. I'd like a CHALLENGE please :(.

 

B-Sides, Covers, Instrumentals, Sampling... would all be really good :(

Although my personal favourite idea would be a novelty/comedy/spoof song parody contest.

But his three suggestions have even less of a case for being a spin-off than this lot.

 

We get the occasional cover entry (Placebo, Sabrina Salerno) but I suppose they don't always do that well. A song that used a sample would have almost certainly won it (or finished top 3) had it not been disqualified last month. I guess B-Sides and Instrumentals are good ideas, but I reckon a good B-Side could do well in the normal contest, not sure about instrumentals.

There's far more foreign language songs than remixes... :wacko:

I'm absolutely positive that this british crowd involved in BJSC know atleast 5 times more remixes than foreign language songs. Remixes would obviously suit the british countries then which would make it all so boring. Where only like me, Pavel, Jerick and Addy are from foreign non-english countries, I think? Come on. Which was my point anyway. Get your facts straight before always looking for an opportunity to bitch at me. Even in the results last night you make a scene about how I never voted for La Roux and again you never had your facts straight.. Just go away ffs if your never going to leave me alone. Good lord the PMS going around here :/

I'm sure plenty of B-Sides have been used in the contest anyway. Don't quote me though because i'm not sure, plus, not really interested of finding out if it's a B-side or not when hearing a song :P And this may well be a normal contest tbh. I thought you'd reject this idea, Aaron, because, y'know it can be a normal BJSC with them :P By the way, what if i want to use a non-UK b-side?

I'm not seeing the love for this theme at all, I absolutely despise comedy/spoof songs, I can't think of three that I enjoy let alone 50...the novelty wears off with them so quickly, they are only funny the first couple of times :lol:
