I should be asking the same question with Tichy, Dizzee, BEP, Flo Rida LOL. Agnes completely outshines everyone and for me along with Kelly & Lade Gaga it'll be one of the best no.1s if it makes it. Plus its summer and dance do really well in the summer. Can't believe why you despise this out of most music in the chart ATM there are loads of trash in there right now

Agreed. After the string of dire urban songs topping the charts, how refreshing to have something light, poppy and summery. :cheer:

Excellent, good on them getting the physical out there :D Quicker than I imagined too!

Couldn't agree more!

I liked the urban songs that topped the chart this year. "Right Round" used an interesting sample, I thought "Number 1" was really catchy, and "Boom Boom Pow" whilst not their best was certainly entertaining.

I think it's hysterial that Agnes is number 1 on this chart.

It's back to mid 90's hi-energy euro-dance era..

Gay power ;-)

I love Right Round and Number 1. Cant say BBP does anything for me which is a shame as I really like BEP.

But I'm all about the pop so I'm glad to see it back :cheer:

Can someone please point out to me what is so great about Release Me? I find it quite boring. I did go a little overboard when I said it was absolutely terrible, as it is actually quite good as compared to such horrendous songs as La La Land, Single Ladies, Stuck With Each Other, Love Story and so on, but I still think there is nothing special at all about it. It's just a standard, y'know, Swedish dance track. Like Basshunter, but a little better than that.

p.s. I like all the urban #1s this year anyway, so I'm not too put off by that.

Can I ask how many times you've heard it? Because it took me a few listens to appreciate it.

I agree it is standard but I disagree that it is nothing special. Not every song has to be ground-breakingly innovative and unique to be good. I think the combination of the production, vocals and lyrics just all mesh to make a great pop song. Nothing more than that; it probably won't be a classic in decades to come but who cares? :)

I've heard it quite a few times, and it still does absolutely nothing for me. Maybe I'll give it another chance and see if anything happens, if that's what you say.

On the topic of Agnes, does anyone else think she sounds a tad like Leona?

I don't think she sounds like her, totally different tones. They look similar in some of her music videos though.

Why should someone point out that it's great? Everyone has different taste, some love it some don't like and some hate it. If you don't like it, you don't like it, it's not a big deal, it's your taste of music (not worse or better than others taste just different) ;)

PS: I do think she is a bit like Leona, the swedish Leona :D

I liked the string of urban #1s, different from the last few years or less.

A random question: Does Fairytale have a music video?

Fairytale doesn't have a video I don't think, just live performances from Melodi Grand Prix/Eurovision
