Oops, she was the one that looks like Duffy. Yeah, her voice doesn't remind me of her either. It's mostly the piano bit at the start that makes me think of "Back To Black". Still, deserves top 20 at best but will obviously make #1 now.

I don't know why there is so much hate for Pixie. Fair enough some of you don't like her single, but it doesn't take away from the fact that she is an amazing musician and a wonderful person! Just because her label are really pushing this song, (they have spent an astronomical sum on the album) it doesn't mean that she hasn't earnt or doesn't deserve success.

I don't think there's that much hate for her? I'm not bowled over by the single, but "Boys & Girls" is good. She seems a nice enough person too.

 

Can I just ask, are you actually Pixie Lott? I can understand fandom for an artist who has been around for longer than five minutes but it seems quite weird how someone so knew has such a huge fan already. :o Or perhaps the label really are pushing the song and have hired someone to join music forums to talk about Pixie Lott and get her name out there. :heehee:

I'm really not Pixie... and have nothing to do with her or her label. Seriously.

 

I have no idea how much the label have spent on Pixie's album... but know she's been making it all over the world for 3 years with some of the world's most in demand producers. It's obvious no corners have been cut, some of the songs that haven't made the album could well be number one hits for others. The video doesn't exactly look cheap, she's done a nationwide tour and adverts for Pixie have been everywhere. I'm guessing, therefore, that the cost of the album (and whole process) was nothing short of "astronomical".

The cost of the album was Pixie's not-being-on-Buzzjack-ness.
