It's weird how the top 2 songs are indie, but most of the rest are pop...

I'm really glad you liked it :o I'd stretch as far to say that I found 4 great discoveries (Lievant, Hendinia, Ashton, Kathaldazia) whilst a number of other tracks were very good too...those 4 I'd probably give points to if they were in a normal BJSC contest though :wub:

Not as big as Sigur Ros (who are practically mainstream tbh), but I'm sure quite a few of us knew about them from the beginning. ;o Welcome to Mali (their most recent album) got a rave review from Pitchfork.

 

I'm honestly not surprised they're winning. :o There are people who I knew would give Sigur Ros / Amadou and Mariam high pointage, me included lawlz. Where every other songs were unknown to me and the votes up for grabs.
