Another Monday, Another preview as to what might happen on next Sunday`s Charts. Thanks to John McManus and Peter Jay in their stores, as usual and all those nice download site people, especially iTunes. My thoughts go to both Peter and John, who will lose their jobs to redundancy at the end of June. Thanks for all your help over the past boys. ;)

Back on Sunday 16th June 1991, Radio Luxembourg came up with this: (As presented by Shaun Tilley)

01 01 BABY BABY - AMY GRANT

15 in the 20, for Radio Luxembourg in 1991. They missed Bette Midler (From A Distance), Jason Donovan (Any Dream Will Do), Extreme (Get The Funk Out), Rebel MC (Tribal Base)...They didn`t really miss the Divinyls (I Touch Myself), as this was in the Radio Luxembourg "Next Week`s Top 20", some weeks previous. Lot`s of Charts on offer in 1991...Luxembourg Sunday at 9pm, as well as Radio One (and Mark Goodier), The Network Chart, Capital Countdown Midweek top 40 (Neil Fox on Wednesdays at 7.30pm, and the Full week`s Capital Countdown at 9am, on Saturday mornings. Amy Grant did not get an Official #1. Infact R.E.M. also made #1 on the Luxy Chart. Which was of course, one of the most "guessed" charts going! But sometimes, they did get it correct. The Wonder Stuff was definately a wrong guess, as a follow up to "The Size Of A Cow".

Next week on the thread (due to Peter and John`s forthcoming redundancies), we will be combining the Fresh Hits Chart thread with this one (as the Next Week`s Chart Top 30s). Hopefully Tom will help out too, and have a chart, that is much ahead, without any stupidity a la The Big Top 40!

Good to see Little Boots is still top ten (without compilations) on albums too. :D

I don't care really, it made #8 w/o compilations on the Chart Preview, good enough. xP

Actual prediction: #60

It was actually the 2nd biggest pre-order of new releases in HMV...It may well miss the top ten, but I reckon it will be in the top 20 on the mids...then tail off by next Sunday. Just like the Proclaimers...who were 2nd biggest pre-order in another well known store.

By the way, I don't know if there's a chart preview top 75, but if so, is Lethal Bizzle anywhere? =/
