Also, how do you view top 300 albums on iTunes?

Michael Jackson:

20 out of 50 = 40%

47 out of 100 = 47%

74 out of 150 = 49 1/3%

100 out of 200 = 50%

131 out of 250 = 52.4%*

146 out of 300 = 48 2/3%*

*plus Alien Ant Farm gives 132 out of 250 (52.8%) and 147 out of 300 (49%)

I also probably miscounted at some point

Omg thanks, I was trying to figure out how to see the album feed :o

Random thing: as the second version of Beat It appears into the top 40 out of nowhere, there are now two sets of the same song next to each other in the T40 alone: Billie Jean at 18 and 19, and Beat It at, strangely enough, 28 and 29

I hope this MJ effect dies off soon, it's beginning to annoy me :(
I hope Lazee still manages Top 40 tomorrow. ;)

Me too, but I reckon he'll just be one of those 'sold enough to be top 40 on any week but the week when Michael Jackson dies' things xP

But in all seriousness, I predict he'll end up at around #43, with it and a couple of other songs being knocked out at the last minute by Man In The Mirror, Smooth Criminal, Thriller and probably Billie Jean or I Want You Back too.

Poor Sats they were Top 20 before the MJ songs started to climb and now they aren't Top 30.

Same! I like some of the songs but it's just ridiculous now, Lady GaGa, Beyoncé and Ciara all have their single releases in the next month and now it looks like they won't make as high as expected :(

Songs released next month shouldn't be affected TOO much, it's only releases next week or maybe the following week, ie Cascada and maybe GaGa a little.

MJ news: Billie Jean (not single version) is up to 17, I Want You Back down to 18, and Billie Jean single version down to 19.

Also:

Keri Hilson, Kanye West & Ne-Yo - Knock You Down

Lyrically speaking, not the greatest week to release...

This is indeed bad, real bad, Michael Jackson. D:

To be honest I think there's no chance in hell GaGa will get another #1 with Paparazzi. I think it'll get to 3 on the official charts at best. Come on Man In the Mirror!

Woah, just noticed that :o Do you think they'll censor it now?

I don't think they'll bother with it tbh, it's just a very unsavoury coincidence

Anyone got pop bars? Michael needs to get to #1 today :o

We won't be certain he's on track for a #1 next week unless he is #1 at midnight Monday, when sales have been counted for 48 hours all within the chart week period.

I agree with B-rye, there's no need to censor it, the people who've bought it know that it says Michael Jackson, the people who've seen the video will know it says Michael Jackson, and more importantly people who listen to the Chart Show religiously know that it says Michael Jackson.

The same could be said for Aqua's new single 'Back To The 80's', but I don't think they will censor that either!
