What's the point of not counting MJ albums though? o_o

To get the real popularity of the album ...

La Roux is #8 on Amazon (behind 7 MJ albums), while #1 in the midweeks. So yes, not counting the MJ albums on Amazon give a better idea of how it should do in next Sunday official chart ;) No need for the o_o face.

But it isn't the real popularity of the album, as it is the EIGHTH most popular album on that specific site. That's a bit like saying 'Lady GaGa is really #1, if you take out Cascada, La Roux and David Guetta'.

Did you really not understand what I meant ?

My point is that the MJ albums are generally doing better on online shops than on overall sales, the proof being that La Roux was #8 at best all week long on Amazon, while #1 in the midweeks. So it is a better indication of its real popularity (ie. the overal sales/official chart placing) to kind of take the MJ albums out on Amazon, especially when Florence is just behind the current #1 (if the midweeks are right) La Roux. Florence will definitely be closer to #2 than #9 on Sunday, do you wanna bet ?

I do get what you're saying, and I think Florence will probably be closer to #1 than #2 :P

I'm just saying that Florence is not the second most popular on Amazon - she is the ninth most popular (on Amazon), regardless of what she's selling elsewhere.

It seems unlikely the AM's would release *any* new material with so little publicity - and I see it isn't listed for release for another 6 weeks, so that makes sense.

Of course, there's no guarantee they'd even be challenging for #1 - after all Brianstorm didn't make it, and didn't even hang around long.

'Crying Lightning' is being released digitally on Tuesday...

Physical release is 17th August.

Yeah and I've never said Florence IS #2 on Amazon...

I said that if we want a general idea of where is will be charting next week, we better take the MJ albums out of the Amazon chart (since they're overperforming on Amazon compared to the official chart), and therefore Florence seems to be heading for a #2 positios. I only analysed the Amazon chart to get a good indication. ;)

Ooh what is with the recent Poker Face climb? How pleasing. :D
My Sophie has somehow resurged back up to #21, I don't know why or how but it's pleasing to see.

Its probably because all the MJ tracks have literally starting falling rapidly, hence the other chart music going back up

"Awaits Jason Mraz to appear" :heehee:
