It's only the second single, it won't do anything to boost the album sales now.

I guess downloads are having a knock-on effect for these type of acts.

Oh dear at Liberty X...great to see Breakaway chart in the top 75-its officially seen as a hit single now :-)
Where is Madonna with Confessions on the Dancefloor? And how much sold it in total?
Heh - The Feeling are rooted to number 16. That's four weeks at that position now.

do you know what something at 100 would sell?

In a good week it could be as much as 2k, in a bad week, when sales dip as much as 1k, can't really put a concrete figure to it, it staggers each week, depends on the trade market.

thanks for that, I take it you don't have any figures for bimbojones, just wondering what they got

No sorry, all sales figures are taken from the Music Week report each week, which has been posted already, plus it rarely gives any sales info for Nos 41-100. It would be great if they did.

How about for number 200? Reason is our label's going to put out its first multiformat (well, 12" and downloads) release so we're finally eligible for the chart. If we manage enough I'll happily resubscribe to chartsplus just to see it :D
The HMV has not had much of an effect on the albums chart this week.

I'm bloody pissed off about that, Placebo are one of my favourite bands and that's their first charting single to ever miss the top 40. They made a HUGE mistake releasing this single, really.

I would have thought around 300 copies+ for No.200-it would be a higher threshold if it wasn't for all the flaming ***starred out*** singles clogging up the chart...

Cheers - think we might be able to manage that...mind you it'll probably take a big promo campaign from us!
