July 5, 200915 yr Oh i'm not saying it was a terrible album by any means, I enjoyed it probably the same amount as I did her previous two, obviously it's in a completely different vein but the singles plus a handful of the album tracks were great. ^_^
July 5, 200915 yr i like her ballads, fall to pieces  i hope it the new album will be better than TBDT.
July 5, 200915 yr I really only enjoyed her second album as a whole along with like 'Complicated' and 'Girlfriend' (though gf was more then juvenile) NOBODY'S HOME is AMAZING. Class A song. 5HYt9Srxbgw By FAR her best song, IMO. Edited July 5, 200915 yr by Tyler
July 9, 200915 yr I really only enjoyed her second album as a whole along with like 'Complicated' and 'Girlfriend' (though gf was more then juvenile) NOBODY'S HOME is AMAZING. Class A song. 5HYt9Srxbgw By FAR her best song, IMO. That second album was IMMENSE. Her best BY FAR. I hope her new stuff is as moody as her second album. :)
July 12, 200915 yr I love Avril! So far all three of her albums have been really strong. The Best Damn thing was fantastic IMO, there's nothing wrong with a bit of light-hearted pop every now and then.
July 13, 200915 yr ...i like her so much...:) the first two albums are awesome but i didnt much like the third one... hopefully this new album will be great..
July 13, 200915 yr D: She's had nil artistic growth throughout her career, if anything sliding backwards, so tbh I expect more childish-dressed-up-as-"carefree" pop songs with lots of "fun" and no emotion. Yay. Agreed. D: Runaway and Girlfriend were amazing from The Best Damn Thing, but nothing else was even close to good tbh. :/ Let Go will always remain her best, strangely enough. It comes off like her least childish effort tbh (which is odd because she was like 18 when it came out).
July 13, 200915 yr Listened to her debut album years ago, yet to listen to her 2nd album and 3rd. ^_^
July 14, 200915 yr I hope its more like under my skin than the best damn thing even though i love all three albums, under my skin has always been my fave. Nobodys home is also my fave song by her, i love everything about it...the lyrics, video etc  I missed out on seeing her on tour last time, so I hope she'll tour with it too :cheer:
July 25, 200915 yr Author Avril Lavigne has announced that she is abandoning the 'cheerleader' style of her third album The Best Damn Thing. The 24-year-old singer confirmed that her next disc will see a return to her traditional sound, rather than the rapping and chanting which was prominent on her 2007 record. Speaking to Entertainment Weekly, Lavigne explained: "[The Best Damn Thing]was intended to be fun, to be rockin'. All I had in my mind was my live show, running around on stage, getting the crowd involved. "This record, I just really, really wanted to sing. We started recording each song, some of them, just with acoustic guitar and the vocal and building it from there. It's stripped down. I love performing that way, so I really felt like it was time to make a record like that. To just make it all about the vocal and the performance, and the vibe, and the emotion." She added: "I was always really honest in my lyrics. I think more so when I was younger, and now it's kind of come back to that. Just like, you know what? I'm not trying to write a perfect pop song. I'm just trying to write a song that's honest right now, even if something sounds weird or a lyric might not make sense to someone." Lavigne's as-yet-untitled album is expected to be released on November 17 in the US. YES PLEASE.
July 25, 200915 yr I didn't really like the album but 'Girlfriend' and 'When You're Gone' were two of my favourite songs of 2007 and I've always been partial to a bit of Avril :P I'm looking forward to hearing what she comes up with.
July 28, 200915 yr Author Billboard.com just tweeted on twitter telling Avril Lavigne fans her new single will be released sometime next month. It is rumor Avril Lavigne new single might be called "Everybody Hurts" and that's its so deep and honest, it might be sounding like "My Happy Ending". With that said, there is another song that Avril Lavigne wrote when she was 15 years old called "Darlin'" that will appear on her new album set to be released on November 17th.
July 29, 200915 yr Cant wait to the hear new album of Avril! I am also fan of Avril like their song I'm with you I could listen it again and again.
July 29, 200915 yr I love Under My Skin! It's so terrific. Nobody's Home and He Wasn't is nice. My Happy Ending too. If she remains the UMS style in her 07 album, she will get more fame! Going with this direction is so awkward.
